Look at his number of subscribers - only 65 and look at the numbers of track plays (popular) - almost all the same range (40-90K)
This 99% means bot plays. These guys don’t do anything legal, and their plays are illegal as well. I gues they use botfarms. So they are making money… and no one stops them though it’s obvious what they are doing, especially for Spotify, I don’t know why they don’t block such guys.
Yes we have such a right, of course. But I’m still not sure if there are simple ways to claim them.
Ok, i’ve found my track here as well, stolen. But it was not released and only available on Envato. What should i do? I’ve never had such experience before.
If one of your tracks is released by someone else on spotify, for example, report it (link below). Add a link of your track from Envato, for sure the release date is prior to the release on spotify and most likely they will take down the track. Be sure to check on all major streaming platforms.

Good luck!

Check Anna Tenney on every streaming platform, including Instagram library. She stole two tracks of mine but I can hear other songs being pitched up so there might be more stolen content.

It happened again to me too. Actually someone stole a black metal track of mine and put vocals on it and released it everywhere. What is cool is that someone that bought the track from me on P5 warned me about it.
Omg, what a story, a kind of one-sided “collaboration”, this guy makes nonsense
Meanwhile I was able to take it down everywhere. All Platforms and Distrokid reacted fast.
A lot of work, in my case Distrokid just screwed me
The situation with piracy just got even stranger. See this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rxlhaYpRlgM&t=4s.
In its music tab, we see “Subtle Grooves in the Atmosphere” by LunaFlow Lofi Lounge Productions Vol.6—but in reality, this is my track “In Chill LoFi”, released in 2021.
Even worse, it was registered in Content ID by this thief, and now all my claims are appearing with the wrong track title. What’s even more serious is that the wrong author and title are shown for every Envato customer who legally downloaded or purchased it.
I’ve already started communicating with Elite Alliance, who manages my Content ID, to fix this situation and track down who is responsible.
But guys, be aware. I am 100% sure that everyone selling their music needs to use Content ID for protection.
Had you not register this track? Or were the perpetrators somehow able to override your registration?
I’m glad you came around.
By now, if an author still has not registered their work with ContentID, it’s either due to plain stupidity, or they are not the actual author indeed.
This track already registered almost 2 years ago, but it looks like new registration by this thief override track name. I asked my Content ID administrator about solving this issue, hopefully i will find exact name of those who did this as well as what distributing company was used. All my tracks in Content ID for more than 2 years. Great income.
This is very worrying! If fraudsters can override and claim previously registered tracks, it means we are not really protected when registered with ContentID. This is a serious issue.
I will write here results of my investigation of this issue.
Yes, that’s exactly it. It has always been like this, as far as I know. Fraudsters can register a track countless times in the Content ID system with different administrators. Each new registration override track name and the previous registration is thrown out of the data base. The previous registration remains inactive. You will not know about it until you see the error in the reports yourself.
I’ve had 4 or 5 of these cases, the last time was in October last year.
Fraudster registered my track through “Sync Vault” [“Sound Vault”].
I noticed that one of my tracks stopped showing up in reports for at least a couple months. When I uploaded an empty video with the track to a test YouTube channel, I received a claim not from my admin (Elite Alliance) and not on my behalf, but from “Sync Vault” on behalf of a completely different artist.
After I discovered this fact and notified the Elite Alliance, they shared the contact details of the head of Content ID & Distribution at “Sync Vault” and I contacted them directly. They organized a general chat between me and the thief. Of course, he had nothing to counteract after I demonstrated a video screen capture with the my source project in DAW. Thereafter, immediately, “Sync Vault” deleted all illegal registrations from their side. As a result, my track registration became active again and all videos marked with the fraudster’s registration were re-marked automatically, but with the correct data.
In short, all similar cases were resolved in this way and there were no problems, except for a LOT of wasted time and nerves.
Exactly my feelings - waste of time and nerves. But hopefully we will soon know who was this thief. Sadly, as i assume, all monetization from this tracks for thia period went to this scamer. Let’s see.
It’s crazy the amount of work we have to go through and basically they just get away with it without punishment. I’m almost tempted to file a police report just to make a statement.
This is really worrying. I accidentally tried to register a few tracks that I had already uploaded to my CID admin, and I noticed that Identifyy accepted them without any issue, just adding a “(2)” to the filename. I assumed this was because both uploads were under the same author, but if this can happen with fraudulent Identifyy accounts as well, we’re quite in serious trouble…
Just think of all the cases we don’t even know about. Honestly, I wouldn’t have any reason to suspect a track stopped generating CID revenue because it was stolen and re-registered. I’d probably just assume the content creator solved the licensing issues or something else. We can’t be constantly hunting down fraudsters and double registrations… not to mention the revenue lost in the meantime.
What a mess…
