Found a profile on Spotify that steals tracks

I can see that my track is deleted from his profile already, and many other releases as well, it’s interesting what was the main reason. Spotify? Distrokid?

For example, my track had about 80000 streamings and it’s only on Spotify

Unfortunately, all the revenue from streaming of that track went to him; you cannot get it, only if he gives it to you which I doubt.
This is a big loophole for us and the only thing we can do is to find and report them. Good luck!

He blocked me on Instagram. Distrokid is silent. Very very bad service. Almost legalizing piracy.

2 of this releases was mine and only YouTube Music and Spotify reacted as it should. Spotify best in terms of speed.

What is most disgusting is that other tracks still there. I believe streaming platforms needs to ban such account for eternity and immediately.

I sent dmca on Spotify today and they took down the illegal track already! Very fast. It’s a pity I will have to write on every platfrom… And distrokid did nothing about this for a month or even more.
It’s strange because their support on releases is pretty good and fast.

Thanks for explaining! I guess theoretically there’s also a small chance to go to court in case we find out who this person is and which country he is the resident of, and if it matches with yours may be it’s possible.

He stole my track too, basically, he split my music in half and released it in 2 parts.
