Unreported TV Usages on PRO Statement

Hi everyone,
I need your help with something that some of you have probably already experienced, but since it’s my first time, I’d like to understand how to handle it.

I use a service you surely know, Tunesat, where I can see when my tracks are used on TV. Last year, a couple of tracks were used on a Belgian channel in May 2024 (VTM) and on an Italian one in September 2024 (Rai2).

After the royalty distribution from my PRO (SIAE), I checked, but there’s nothing reported for these two tracks as if they weren’t accounted for at all. I also checked the royalty payment schedule for foreign TV broadcasts through my PRO (there’s an internal guide that helps with this), and I should have already received the royalties, at least from the Belgian broadcaster.

My question is: what should I do now? Should I contact the broadcasters? What exactly should I ask them?
I’m sure both tracks were licensed not through this platform, but another one.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance!

I always have contacted my pro and submitted the usage manually to them via email.
I just put the Tunesat info in an excel sheet to make it easier. It can take a long time to receive anything and sometimes it just doesnt work

I have a publisher account with Ascap and they really dont do anything with the infos i submit.
My dutch Pro does much more.

Also register your music with sound mouse. That helps.

Thank you for the answer! I’ll try sound mouse too.

I’m joining the discussion. My Tunesat showed a very large overuse of one song – it sounds like some kind of commercial that plays between shows (e.g., Friends, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – because that’s how Tunesat displays the “show”). I haven’t received any payment or information about the ASCAP cue sheet.
What should I do about this?

Gather the info and submit it to your PRO.
