I accidently purchased a template for woocommerce 5 days ago, and I wanted magento. I saw the mistake, sent through a refund request, this was 5 days ago. I then purchased the magento one from the same author.

I have heard nothing in 5 days, no refund. How do you get a refund? Must I do a paypal reversal and waste even more of my time?

if the author does not respond to the refund request within 7 days, you will be given an option to raise a dispute with Envato. This option should appear automatically as a link or button on the refund request details page after 7 days from the refund requested date.

It was better if you discus the theme author first about mistaken purchase and then purchase the Magento theme from the same author.

Please open an Envato Customer support Help ticket and let them know. Envato Customer support team will be happy to assist you.

If you do that, your account will be blocked and you won’t be able to purchase any other item on the marketplace.

If you haven’t downloaded the item, you can request a refund but if you downloaded the item already, you have lost your chance to get the refund, in this case, don’t wait for the respond from the author or Envato support.

It’s your responsibility to purchase the correct item.

Neither Envato nor authors are obliged to give policy refunds in any of the situations listed below.

  • You don’t want it after you’ve downloaded it
  • The item did not meet your expectations or you feel the item is of low quality
  • You simply change your mind
  • You bought an item by mistake
  • You do not have sufficient expertise to use the item
  • You claim that you are entitled to a refund but do not provide sufficient information as to why you are entitled to a refund
  • You can no longer access the item because it has been removed or the author who previously provided the item is no longer active on our platform (we advise you to download items as soon as you have purchased them to avoid this situation).
