All I can say without any shred of doubt is…
Fact #1: I’ve been a provider of content on this marketplace for 7 years, and I have not seen such a drastic drop as large as this in all that time.
And fact #2: It seems to be happening to a large enough handful of people to warrant multiple forum topics, and threads in other discussion forums across the web.
Now, to be clear: I can respect the handful of people here who are analyzing people’s accounts and attempting to provide their own justification (citing reasons like: age of items, number of items, popularity of artist, etc.). I can even respect them when they say things that sound like “It’s not happening to me, so the problem must be you”, even though that’s almost the same as saying: “World hunger must not exist because today I ate a sandwich”. But regardless, there is a third fact everybody needs to appreciate…
Fact #3: The speculation provided by those who claim something out of the ordinary isn’t happening is just as unfounded as the speculation provided by those who believe something out of the ordinary is happening.
So let’s all try and respect the fact that there may be enough of a shift in trends going on to warrant some people’s concern. Deal?

It’s well-known thing, it is happening during last few months in parallel with Category page design and related experiments.
Most of people on forums took side of blaming Envato and don’t do anything from their side.
But there are some who took side of situation analyzing, of adaption and action. Which IMO is more useful way of responding in this situation for every Author.
Personally I am trying to show that there are sales, that some “sales drop” reasons are very weak or dead points, to show that there are possible ways to develop.

With that in mind, how does somebody go about remedying this? I’m guessing by your comment about “doing anything form their side”, there is a potential solution?
Hi, I saw your portfolio, you are an elite author, and your works are AE template files. Usually, AE plate is more competitive in videohive. He believes that your sales are unaffected by elements. Congratulations! But as an author of MG or SF, cliff-like sales performance is ubiquitous, which is an indisputable fact. As far as I’m concerned, sales have dropped by 80% this month!
