What electric guitars you use in your productions?

Hi colleagues!
Working on some rock sttuff for my portfolio I decided to ask all of you what electric guitars you use during producing of your tracks?
No matter what music genre you work on, is it corporate, indie rock or even metal.

As for me I use Kontakt libraries like: Factory Library, Evolution Stratosphere, Evolution Strawberry, Evolution Dracus, Prominy V-Metal.

So, what’s yours? :guitar:

Just a real one and guitar rig

Real Guitars:

  • Fender Stratocaster - American Standard HSS
  • Fender Dimension Bass - American Standard 5 string HH
  • Gibson Les Paul - Studio 2016 Traditional

Amp Simulators:
Guitar Rig 5 and Cubase 8.5 Pro’s amp simulators

VST Guitars:

  • Prominy’s V-Metal - even if you know how to play guitar, this is a useful tool unless you own an ESP Alexi Blacky with EMG pickups. That’s what this emulates and it does it very well, good articultaions and very easy to play.
  • Shreddage 2 - Impact Soundworks
  • Archtop - Impact Soundworks - hollow body electric, until buy one, probably an Ibanez
  • Ample Guitar T II - a sampled Taylor acoustic
  • NI Strummed Acoustic
  • Trillian - I use this for the acoustic 4-string, upright and synth basses

I always prefer to record real thing for guitar and bass , in the past I never found libraries that sounds good to my ears, especially for electric guitars.
But more recently I listen to some libraries (acousticsamples, orange tree samples, NI) and I admit that the state of art is really impressive…
