We started to ignore forums?

I was just confusing at the beginning, but now I am getting accustomed to the new forum, I see lots of new features i.e editing Title and post if we make any mistakes, I hope others too can do it.

What is wrong with that? Almost always there is some good feedback in such threads. And more than once Envato admitted that they made a mistake and accepted rejected songs after user feedback was overwhelming in the favor of the rejected item. Lots of interesting threads to pick and choose, really.

I don’t like it how they bundled all marketplaces toghether.
They should have kept the same forum structure as the old ones.

Category: "ThemeForest"
Tags:“Wordpress” “Drupal” “Ghost” etc…

Category: "AudioJungle"
Tags: ~ Tags related to audio jungle.

For me the new forum is still a big step back and YES, I don´t like it and will not be active as in the past with old forum.
Forum view on mobile phone is still pure nightmare.

I have definitely. Can’t get used to this new layout and most of the threads are mundane anyway.

Yes, I used to check the forum pretty often, now I rarely do it, I don’t like it. Not that it would matter in any way.

Long back , I used to see forums first instead of Facebook :stuck_out_tongue: But now I stopped both :frowning: Because both are cluttered

Unfortunately I think it’s unorganized. It’s not the same experience as a user. I feel something is missing.

If Envato can differentiate the marketplace with categories, the forum can reproduce the discussion same as old forums

Woot! Just installed and it’s like the old forums are a little bit back, but with the great new functionality.

Thank you so much - that will actually make me visit the forum a bit more. But i do agree, topics being mixed all together is making it very messy…

I dont visit forum as often as i did before. Prefered the Old structure, seemed clearer and less messy.

+1,000 for the airport terminal analogy. Nailed it.

I actually think it is what they want.

There were more and more angry threads about tax fees, mandatory support, multipurpose theme bloat, bad rating system… available to the public.

The only reason that makes sense for making such un-intuitive, category-less navigation, is to be able to “hide that cat poo under the carpet”.

Divide and conquer…

The activity levels are still the same because there are 1000s of new members joining every day and filling the forums with “why rejected?” threads… So envato is happy. Huge traffic, less exposure to the painpoints.

Again, sadly, this demonstrates how envato doesn’t really care about their authors. Many authors complaining here in this thread have played an essential role in the growth of envato. I’d say they may deserve a bit more respect and somehow have an impact in the company’s decision making process - at least here in the envato “community” side of the company.

I am of the same opinion, not only these forums are very poor from UX standpoint there is no categorisation, there is massive confusion and chaos everywhere.

The more traffic the more difficult will be to keep “on the surface” more valuable topics.

Any news for some changes in forum or we will keep going away from this forum?

I used to have a habit of clicking the forum link when accessing ThemeForest. But now, the forum has become an uncomfortable area to visit and I mostly refrain myself from clicking the link.

If they choose another forum that’s more ‘like a conventional forum’ then this would not have happened.

That’s true, this is mybe my 3rd or 4th comment since the new forums came to life, i don’t like it. The other reason why i stopped using it is because i’m not as motivated as i was before, especially with these taxes news.

Guys,

####Finally, I’ve implemented the Mute option myself for the Better Envato Chrome Extension

You can now hide unwanted tags from the homepage. (Settings available in the options page  ) and an option to whitelist some tags, to show post when someone mix tags with muted and unmuted like audio and wordpress

Let me know your suggestions. :+1:

Guess what after the new tax and payment policy, we should have a thread “Started to ignore envato”
