We started to ignore forums?

Envato staff - is there anyway to filter what I see when I land on the forum page… for example I prefer not to see audio, 3D or photography. Ideally I’d only want to see ThemeForest stuff, but I guess that’s asking for too much??!

a few suggested to mute the tags you’re not interested in and dismiss new posts, but it doesn’t work… posts with tags I muted still show up.

Use Better Envato extension.

that’s more or less just a skin with bigger titles, it does not solve the problem!

I don’t see this getting solved anytime sooner when you see staff giving different tricks to use these forums.

That’s the spirit

Can we get someone from Envato to reply to our suggestion that forums should have categories set as on old forums? Looks like everyone agrees on that. Envato? Can we get some input?

Just came here cause of coincidence. I do not even like to read the forum anymore. The old forum was much better. Not sure why they not simply extended the functionality of it and instead use a complete different software now. I simply do not get used to it since there are so many various options to choose from and as other said it feels too cluttered and unorganized. I didn’t even found a way quickly to post a reply to this thread…

No plans to change the categories at this stage but we are looking into better linking from Market as per @digitalscience’s suggestion so watch this space

Thanks @natman … regarding the categories though - you know for years we always had a category for each marketplace … and each marketplace has it’s own huge community, now everything is united together in one general forum… it really isn’t practical and it kinda kills that community feel each marketplace had with it’s own place to chat. Surely Envato understands that we NEED those categories, it should be evident from all the requests here.

This make sense,

Let’s just say that I hardly ever read the forums anymore, and that this is my very first time posting in the new forums. I guess that sums it up pretty good.
Many nice people used to participate with valuable information. A lot of those names are missing in the new forums.
I certainly miss the great community, but I’ll probably get by without it.
Maybe even get more work done

New forum’s form hmmm… Something really terrible. It is difficult to navigate here and to write fast

@natman so you just ignored my response and chose to look the other way? People are crying out for a change, not because they are not used to the new forum, but because its organization and usability fail so badly that it is painfully hard to follow what is going on here, and this is the best response you can come up with, in regards to @digitalscience’s post:

This response is so typical and cringeworthy. Not even a reason was given as to why you chose to keep the forum this way.

You guys NEVER EVER listen to your authors, which is ridiculous given how much stake we have in this business. You only ever choose to react when sh*t hits the fan, like when the whole community tore their hair out at the thought of time-restricted support.

We must give credit to Envato for its incredible consistency in never listening to what authors suggest.

“Maybe” Envato’s interest has never been the same as author’s interest.

Not going to change categories, even if EVERYONE, I mean EVERYONE EVERYONE, ask you to do so??? That’s just plain terrible. I’m kind of pissed off now.

Please listen to your community Envato, I think the request is reasonable. All we want is a forum that we can use easily and read relevant topics.

I think we just need to categorize each market, that’s enough for me,

because for the current layout, I’m happy that I’m using Surjith’s chrome extension for the taste of the old forum.

Yeh but we shouldn’t have to create or install custom extensions to make the forum usable when previously it was awesome.
