Videohive author willing to purchase and include unwatermarked AJ items in one of his videos.

Hey mates!

A Videohive author asked me to include one of my sound effects pack in his upcoming project, purchasing a multi-use license but with the idea of offering the unwatermarked SFX as a part of his item. The obvious answer was: No, you can’t re-sell other authors material as a part of your item. You must leave a link to the AJ pack and the customer has to buy both Video and Audio separately.

I can’t find, though, the official Envato’s terms where that is stated. I’ll try to contact support but maybe some of you remember where that info is?

@BenLeong @jamesgiroux @ADG3studios, maybe you guys got that clear?

Thanks in advance people!

True, it’s like you said, though I don’t remember where it’s stated. Did you check here?

Hi @WormwoodMusic. Purchasing an item to use as a smaller component within a larger project that you plan to sell as stock or a template is generally not allowed (see this part of the license FAQ), but there are some exceptions.

Best place for a definitive answer would be opening an Author Support ticket - that team will be able to help.

Thank you so much guys!

@BenLeong, I did submit a ticket just to be 100% sure. Thx!

@RedOctopus, you’re always so helpful, man! I found this in one of your links:

Whoa there! Things you can’t do with the item

  1. This is a “single application” license for one single End Product, so you will need a separate license for each different End Product.
  2. You can’t re-distribute the Item as a sound effect, as stock, in a tool or template, or with source files. You can’t do this with an Item either on its own or bundled with other items, even if you modify the Item. You also can’t re-distribute the Item as-is or with superficial modifications.

Examples: You can’t license a number of sound effects and distribute/resell them on CD or as part of an SFX pack or sample library. You can’t license a sound effect and distribute/resell it as a ringtone.

Thx again guys!

No prob. Of course you can do that if author gives you permission to do so.
