Hi,
This track has been rejected…as have two others but I expected that. I was a bit hopeful on this one…but listening back to it I hear many more flaws than before. I won’t share those here.
If anyone has the time or the inclination, I’d be happy to receive any feedback or advice you have on this particular track. The curator’s response was the stock “This item does not meet the general commercial quality standard required to be accepted on AudioJungle, unfortunately.”
Thanks in advance!!
Hi,
I’m a newbie here. On a quick listen, i think its a mix issue, I’ve heard other similar corporate tracks on AJ and noticed instantly, your claps need to be louder in the mix and thinks need to be sharpened up. Sometimes a bit of mastering helps! just my thoughts, hope this helps
Hi music_of_AL,
Thanks for listening! I decided to reduce the claps just before I uploaded as I felt they were too upfront. I did master the track, but I’m not an expert, and I’d just been learning about how everything online gets normalised these days, so I turned almost everything down. Maybe that was a mistake.
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Conor
The track has now had 19 listens since I posted it on Soundcloud yesterday afternoon but only one reply.
I suppose other users listen to rejected tracks to see how their own work matches up, and what errors to avoid.
By 16 seconds there is a rise up and nothing happens. Bass, piano chords, acoustic guitar, tight kick are expected from this place … but in fact there is no development. The same goes for 45 seconds. Guitar timbre sounds very unpleasant, needs equalization. The track is listened how unfinished. Perhaps one more part is missing. The piano with kick also sounds empty. In general, it sounds like a sketch.
Hi Romantic City,
Thank you for taking the time to listen and provide constructive criticism.
I agree that the sound of the guitar is grating, too raw. Also, the breakdown sounds flat, empty.
I thought there was enough development after the rise at 16 seconds with the keys, pad and percussioncoming in. Do you think it would be stronger to come in with a more full sound there?
I agree it sounds unfinished. The performances don’t sound great either when I listen back.
Thanks again for upfront feedback.

Of course you do! This is to be expected and you are preparing for this. What is at the moment after 16s is clearly not enough.
42 listens on Soundcloud, yet only two responses.
