Mine just blew again. No more KRK’s for me… that’s two pairs in 3 years. I might try the Presonus.

Presonus Eris E8 is really descent monitor, a lot better that any model of KRK rokit series in my opinion.
If your room is treated, E8 is GOLD for the price!
PrimeTunes saidpetrenj saidGuys, I assume that all of this models are expansive, but could you recommend me some monitors something like for about 250e?
In my opinion nothing beats the current Yamaha HS line in that price range. If you don’t have a sub try to get the 7" or 8" versions. The JBL SLR is a very good option as well.
Here’s a good comparison, nothing scientific, but a good way to compare the sound of each brand.
Hope that helps!
Thank you guys…So far, as I see, JBL LSR305 seems best in that range
I’m surprised to see that nobody have some Dynaudio. I liked a lot the BM6 and have now a pair of Air 15, very good monitors!
ESI Near05 here. The highs are too prominent and they have this dip at about 5kHz. I rather mix with heaphones, but they are OK to check mixes.
Now use KRK rockit 6 and KRK V8
Adam A8X and Yamaha NS-10M
Roland DS-5 monitors and Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO headphones. Planning for a subwoofer soon, as the monitors go as low as 58Hz only and I have to check some mixes with my flatmate’s Yamahas.
It depends on what your goals are! I use Auratone 5c Soudcube, powered by HH electronics Auratone is pretty much a standard for mixes done for TV.
loving the presonus

Dreaming about EVE SC407

I use Quested VS2108s. They are very good as far as I know and can hear.
Recently I bought M Audio BX5 and first few days it was strange for me to assimilate on different sound, because I used some cheap speakers. So far Im satisfied with this monitors, I know these monitors are not so expensive and high quality, but I can feel now the difference in better way in the sound when I m working.Everything is much clearer and brighter, so I guess and easier for work.
Congrats with you purchase! Hope it will improve your mixes even more.
