suggest me about my new PC .

Hi,
I would like to update my PC. Actually I will use my PC for graphic design, web design purpose and sometimes video editing. I would like to buy a very fast windows PC.
I am really confused about this.
Please advice me what should I go for. I am from India.

Thanks…
Arnab Kumar Halder.

A PC for web design and graphic design can be relatively basic. Pretty much any ‘off the shelf’ mid-range PC should be more than capable. Video editing is a bit different though, especially if you’re going to be working with 4K footage or doing some heavy after effects work.

I’m no PC master or anything, but I’d recommend a quad core i7, 16 to 32GB of RAM and two or more fast hard drives, SSD preferably. You can have a quad-octo-deca core i77 with 64TB of RAM, but you’re going to run into problems if you have just one 5,400rpm drive!

A top end graphics card isn’t that important for standard AE use, but you’ll want something decent if you’ll be using Element 3D or Premiere, and a lot of programs are making more use of the GPU these days. Usually best to go for nvidia. And if you have a decent card, then you can always play Black Ops 3 inbetween working, which I do. I’ll get in that winners circle one day, I’m sure of it. It’s for research purposes, honest.

Thanks for your reply, I will go for i7 with more ram. Anyway, what is your configuration at this time?
What brand should I go for?
Where are you from buddy? India?

No I’m from the UK, but I’m currently in Spain. It’s warmer!

I’ve got an Asus G10 i7, 3.4Ghz Quad Core, 32GB of RAM, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, about 5TB of USB3 external drives, GTX 780 GPU with a 27" Asus IPS monitor. It does the job!

@arnabkumar What budget do you have to spend on this build?
The monitor is also very important in graphic design, a good IPS panel is a must for color accuracy.

Thanks for share.

What ever was your budget try to put the maximum effort on the motherbored, a good one will make your future easy if you are planing for more upgrades I recommend you ASUS Z97-Deluxe With i7 and at least 16gb ram, since you need it for video editing make sure to avoid intel graphic cards they are not made for that I recommend you go for Nvidia or AMD (Adobe premiere work better with Nvidia but AMD have other good sides too) I don’t really know much about screens but a retina one is great if you look for details…

Best ram brand (go for 32gb)?
Is this necessary to have an SSD? If yes then which is the best brand for this?
Also, tell me the odd band name which is is best in this time.

Your Budget ?
