Sales almost stopped from last 4-5 days

You see. 2 sales together right now.
Let’s see when next ones will arrive

This whole year is worst for me, in January 2023 my 50% sales dropped and from June again 50% dropped so you guys can think how I am feeling.
I am trying to improve my sales by updating files, giving 40% discounts, and sending newsletters to existing customers but nothing working.
my earning is 25% now from last year.
Yesterday I got a sale after 7 days.
So you can think how much pain is for me.

That’s a huge drop in a year. I am at 1/10th of my 2015 earnings. So a 12.5% downside each passed year.

The sales are however not predictable now on this market. I had 3 sales yesterday after 6 days and again complete silence for more than a day now. Not sure if it takes another 6 days for a sale again. For me this is very drastic as compared to last month. Was getting normal sales till September 26 and then suddenly so much slowness is just crazy

In 2015 there was not so much content as today and no Elements!

@imithemes We are experiencing a similar drop this time. Do you think it has something to do with the new releases? I noticed that you haven’t released a new product since 2021. How do you maintain stable sales without releasing a new product?

No new releases do not matter that much unless it is something that the marketplace likes, this days AI stuff seems to be what clients want…

Yes, new item releases do matter, and you should release them if you are devoting 100% of your work time for Envato Market. I am not working full time for market now but to maintain a steady income I do work on updates for several of my items which are consistently bringing $$$ for me in the past 10 years. Providing first class support to my item buyers. Have increased my theme price twice by $10 each time.

My concern today is not about about my earnings I wanted to discuss why there is no predictable sales pattern. We have had regular sales like normal till September 26 and then all of a sudden in the past 8 days only 4 sales including 6 days of complete draught. I mean how is this possible when you are getting at least 1 sale each day and suddenly 6 days straight without any. On top of it the analytics show just regular page visits. No sale from US in the last 10 days whereas normally my 40% sales are from the US

Yes, same for me, no sales from US. Looks like some bad ads placement from the envato side

Honestly, this is due to Envato’s inability or simply put they don’t want to act. There is no consistent pricing which makes Buyers not trust the marketplace. Scheduled Sales are great but Author Driven Pricing is still a menace. There are Theme/Template Authors who sell their Item for $59/$29/$12 from Monday to Wednesday and $29/$13/$7 from Thursday to Sunday, just to be in the Populars. This happens Every Single Week! Sales are not dependent on quality or merit anymore. There are no consequences for Bad Practices.

Author Payouts have changed but in the Dashboards, the Information provided regarding Next Payouts on the Payouts Page have not been updated yet.

Overall, there are a lot of issues. What really bugs us is how Envato created a Wonderful Marketplace from 2008 to 2019/2020 and then they started killing it since 2021.

Indeed nothing like this happened since I sold here 13 years, in my case visits have been reduced by 50%…

It seams that hard times are ahead my friends…

To not talk about analytics: soon Google will stop tracking our data and we will have no reports. I had to create a free app (also fo you) to understand something more.

How to blame them: Elements gives a predictable income with less efforts and no periods/fashions/saturations fluctuation. It’s just frustrating to see how they totally abandoned the marketplace…

Yes, I believe the open pricing structure dented Envato Market structure and reputation more than any other change. Earlier when prices were set by the Envato review team, buyers had more confidence purchasing any item due to similar price for similar items. Now buyers are confused which product to buy in terms of pricing and regardless of the quality of the item & after sales support.

Same issue. Huge sales drop.

No improvement what so ever. This month will end disastrous and we all should brace ourself for more painful days ahead :frowning:

I wonder what is the reason that sales dropped so bad, October used to be a good month…

I wish someone could answer

Sales are generally down for the majority of us here. The market is changing and the emphasis on getting people to Elements hasn’t helped much. I used to make a decent dent with sales every month and I’ve been averaging 1-3 sales a month for the past year.

Times are changing and trends are changing. The Marketplace isn’t what it used to be for a lot of us. I’ve been trying to figure out better ways to try to drive more sales, but have yet to find something substantial without undercutting my pricing.

If there are any more audio guys here, what pricing structures do you all have? I feel mine are pretty reasonable but curious what others are doing that have been having more successes.

Derek! Same here. Rock bottom.

I tried downpricing my last 60 tracks to 10 bucks (totally impossible to make a living with where I am) for a whole month and it didn’t work out at all.

I’ll register everything in a PRO ASAP (a must I’ve been delaying for so long), try to build a semi decent YT profile when I have the time and then sit and let the dust sadly settle in this graveyard we once called Audiojungle.

My strategy says that you should never reduce price when the sales are down. Offering discount works best when you are getting plenty of sales already.

My main customers are from South Korea and USA. And this year, both countries simply disappeared from buyers. Rare sales occur in different countries. What is going on there in USA and Korea?
