I’ve been waiting for “THEMELOGI (Roneous)” to respond to my refund request for days.
Is it taking so long for them to respond to my refund request because there are so many refund requests? Or are they ignoring refund requests?
Sometimes refund requests can take up to 7 days, maybe longer depending on the reason why a refund has been asked for. It doesn’t necessarily mean that there are so many refund requests - it just means you need to be patient.
Not sure the reason why you’re requesting the refund but if you have downloaded the item already, they may reject the request ( they have around a week to decide, I think ) After, you can contact Envato support for the refund but this would also take some time ( they will investigate the situation )
If the author is busy or on vacation, of course, it will take longer to respond.
How can I know if the theme is suitable for me without downloading and trying it out? Of course, I downloaded and tried the theme, but I saw that the theme is not useful for me in terms of being editable. I have bought 5 themes from ThemeForest so far, but I only requested a refund for this theme because there was no problem with the others.
There’s a demo website that is for public that you could test it. You cannot just purchase/download the theme and test first then decide to not to use it.
If you have issues with the theme, you can contact the theme author for the support but I don’t think you’d be able to get the refund because the theme is not useful for you
Yes, you’re right, there are a lot of demo websites looking perfect, and they can easily cheat on you. You can only understand when you download and install it, that it is not as beautiful as it looks and that its ability to be edited is very bad. 15 USD is not important to me, but if this refund does not happen, I will understand that I should not trust Themeforest and find another alternative and my comment will not be nice. Consumer rights should be very important. If you only knew what we do for the satisfaction of our customers… Since the time I spent writing these messages is much more valuable than $15, I won’t reply anymore… I’ll just wait to see if the refund will take place… or not.
if the author does not respond to the refund request within 7 days, you will be given an option to raise a dispute with Envato. This option should appear automatically as a link or button on the refund request details page after 7 days from the refund requested date.
