Please advise me how to display my logo, knowing that when I do a logo, I put topics for it so that the buyer knows that he is completely free to change the color of the logo.
example
Don’t worry about the preview image yet. This is very far from being to the quality standards needed for Envato. I’m not even sure if I’d call this a logo if I’m being brutally honest.
hi indeed, the bottom line that there is much to say about it … let’s get started
1- concept
this is highly recommended that for a logo u have a concept and indeed u do not have any as for i can see here … i can understand that there may be a temptation to actually do something generic and that may fit a large number of people but the marketplace has changed dramatically over the years and indeed, nowadays this is more like to be a guaranty to have you item drown rather than to sell big as in the past
2- logo and purpose
indeed a logo is basically meaning a text part and an illustration that maybe be a symbol, easy to remember that will make people think of who the user is … in this case, if u ask me, hard for anybody to remember such a shape … this rather makes your item far from efficient usability wise, which is a problem, pls see point 3
3- undefined target
indeed hard to understand who u are addressing here , who the logo is meant to and what the symbol is standing for so that indeed, with a complex shape like this , most of the people will probably have trouble to identify their activity or their structure with what u have this far … see point 4
4- low commercial potential
indeed, the first 3 points alone actually underline that your item, this far has a quite low commercial potential indeed , not to mention that u are breaking codes of logos here , which may be ok if what u have in hands is working and this far this is not. Let’s face it also , if the item is felt has having a very limited potential right from the first place , why would a reviewer accept it?
5- color combinations
indeed, they are pretty basic, rather common i might add , since most of the rejection that i comment from the logo section have such a color combination inside, if this is not even the main color / preview, which say a lot as regard to how very little original this actually is … in addition, i would rather recommend “betting” on complementary colors, shades of the same color or theme code colors, they are safe choices and the potentiality to go wrong is quite limited to say the least
6- alignment
this is not a small deal as this is a basic design principle. Indeed, u cannot except here coming with a logo where things look not properly aligned and expect the concerned item to be possibly accepted …
7-typo
a lot of people fail to analyze and identify this but this part is probably the most important one in GR, no matter what is the category where u are posting and the bottom line is that , at this stage , u are very far from the high standards and expectations that are being set here. I believe that u should try to bring more variations, more font combinations and touches of originality and for this , introducing a tagline would help, see next point
8- lack of relief
globally, whether we are talking about the illustration or the text, the concerned parts are too flat and not original enough for the name part, u need t bring more graphic design to the table, effects, and so on so that the logo has more impact in the end …
9- global balance and harmony
this is the continuity of the two previous points indeed, plus , what is left to say is that the illustration is prevailing a bit too much over the text one all the same
10- imbrication
indeed if the shape that u have does not make it super easy for the version u have made here, i am afraid that this is even worse if people consider having a horizontal version …
