I’ve been in Audiojungle for more than a year now and I was averaging at 10 sales per month. It’s not much but it was a base to improve on. Last 30 days though were absolutely miserable for me in Audiojungle.
Well, I sold three tracks at the end of September after a 30-day pause, and now it’s been quiet since October 1st. A constant stream of sales is still wishful thinking for me, and I’ve been around for 8 years. Granted, I’m not offering the most commercial music ever, and I’ve been generally grateful for every little sale I’ve had, but a little complaining now and then is good for the soul.
Well, it’s not that much of complaining as it is worrying, to be honest
I don’t know if the 5$ tracks are successful or not but since they are so many the market absolutely has taken a hit from that absurd change (imo). With so much music around on AudioJungle and considering the change in valuing your tracks and practically giving them away for free people will either go for the cheapest or the more popular tracks and if you don’t fall in either category your sales will go stale.
I don’t have any other reasonable explanation for the decrease in sales since September. I might be wrong I don’t know but with the arrival of Elements, it doesn’t look good for authors in Audiojungle.
Summer was not that great for me, but September gave me grave hope… And now October is starting very slow, so i truly feel the Yo Yo effect, but i never lose hope in my customers! Let’s go salessss, for all of us!
@MagicMood9 Yeah, it’s sad. If you search for any genre and put the price from 1-5 dollars and the length over one min its very sad to see how many results and dozens of pages come up…
@ChoclateFix I like your energy and mood, my friend Let’s hope things will change for the better, for all of us!
Same here IG. To be clear I haven’t done much on AJ though I’ve been here for 5 years. Mostly dabbling while I worked on improving my composing and production skills.
But in July-August I put up some 15 tracks, and they were some of my best, not a single rejection, and expected a bunch of sales based on previous uploads. To date only 1!
Something is indeed amiss in the Jungle. I’ve been hearing that search only brings up yop authors and best sellers, so the newbies and small sellers don’t stand a chance. Depressing for certain as I like this place…
Well, i think the era of 5$ tracks is destroying the market. The competition isn’t anymore so much in quality as it is on pricing (since the base quality is a given for an item to be accepted on audiojungle). There are 2 major categories that sell on Audiojungle now, 5$ tracks and popular tracks.
I hope im wrong but i can’t explain it with any other way.
