You mean light leaks?
Well I think it ads to reality of the shots
You are right about realism, but this particular effect at 00:07-00:08 does not sell the effect. Improving it would be a key
Few things to consider:
- The light comes out of nowhere, and has some gaps in between the streak. There shouldnât be such hard edged cuts in the light ray.
- Its structure is too flat/plain.
- Single colour tone does not look realistic.
- The light shatters strangely.
Hope any of this will help you further down the road, but overall - you are pretty close. Some more atmospheric/ambience elements are required in the space to give a better depth of field.
Thanks for these suggestions.
I will work on light leaks further down the roadâŚthese are actually real filmed light leaks so thats pretty much how light behaves in the real world cuz it is a light from the real world (I dont know why I suddenly wanna see Matrix again) .
But I know what you mean little tweaks do sell the effect better.
Right now I m thinking about what else I could do to improve the overall look of things. adding textures to frames maybe model a different chair and play around with light in the scene.
I dont want to over do it cuz this is not a prerender and everything is modular and fast right now so the end user can do pretty much everything he wants to make his own unique video.
But there is a close line between realism and user usability so I need to be careful
Anyway I hope that overall the project is good
I m just trying to get to a point where I can be fully satisfied with the project and I think I m pretty close for me it looks good considering that its all element 3d
ok guys here is the render so you can see the updates please let me know your thoughts thanks
No LIGHT LEAKS
WITH LIGHT LEAKS
OK I m done and fully satisfied I m uploading today so stay tuned for the final version once approved
Ok. Good Luck!
I like much more the version with no light leaks. I know that maybe you´ve already uploaded the project. Anyway, I´d like to give you my personal thoughts. The whole environment looks too pure white, maybe if you make the intensity of lights a bit lower, textures and white frames can be more visible. The vertical postcard looks too glossy in my opinion, and it has no texture. Textures and lights are elements that make 3D more realistic. And if I were you, I wouldn´t make curved travellings around fireplace, because it looks too flat this way, not 3D, but if you use just small travellings in x or z axis, that 2D video flat look of the fireplace won´t be seen. Anyway, just opinions of mine. I like your project
Good Luck again!!
Light leaks are optional and user can turn tham on and off.
I actually like the clean white look of it these days people over do it with textures anx roughness.
I have a card that is all glossy and when you film it with a camera it does look like that and I like the glossy look of it⌠Adding textures to everything doesnt always mean that will look more real.
About the fireplace I totally agree and fixed that
Plus the light intensity as well as day and night option will also be available to change by the end user
Great. Hope to see final result soon
Thank you tho for your engagement after all its only elemet3d and to achive this result and keep it fast and modular I must say I m happy
Forgot to say when I use the ultra high texture maps of all textures used including the hdr environment map and when I set all the settings for AO to ray trace with ultra high settings and multiprocessing to max it looks almost photo real BUT that project is not optimized and good for the buyers because most of the peeps wouldnât even manage to open that project cuz it requires a lot of good hardware and it would be almost impossible to work on customizing it cuz it would be ultra slow. So with user usability in mind I think this i s a good ratio of looking good and being fast.
This is videohive and I have to think about the end user and I want them to have all modular options to change everything, if I was doing this as a project for one use , first I wouldnât make all that trouble and model everything in element I would use maya and made 100% photo realistic gallery and the whole thing would be done much faster
But I m sure that you know what I mean
Maybe that´s another choice to think about, and just tracking photos placeholders, so customer would have even a faster render than with E3D. But obviously textures, lights or camera settings couldn´t be changed at all, and only photo placeholders and text would be editable. I mean all this for a future project
I know but buyers liked the fact that they could play around with everything I received great amount of feedback from my other similar project where they have shown me their versions of it and it was amazing to see how different and unique can every project be customized by the buyer
Yeah, I understand. I was just saying for some future project maybe
Yeah good thinking I might just do that further down the road, just need to get inspired
Approved thanks for the suggestions guys
