I’m going to stand up for @EvgenM because it does not make logical sense for a competitor to evaluate and approve the music of another author on the same site. I say that objectively since I’m a customer, not an author, and I don’t work for Envato. I don’t get tracks rejected since I don’t even offer tracks here, so my comment is definitively neutral and absent of any emotional attachment to this place.
It’s nice for everyone to trust each other and only think pleasant thoughts. But I think it’s a bit naive to think that there are no reviewers who might cheat a fellow author who composes in the same style. I have heard quite a few tracks posted by authors after they had a track hard rejected that sounded pretty good to me and multiple other people who also could not figure out why the track was rejected.
And so… I’ve said my piece. I’m not interested in an argument, I just think Evgen is right, even if the way the point was stated seems a bit rough and aggressive. I think Envato should consider this point. It only takes one or two dishonest reviewers to cause a problem for your fellow authors and perhaps even you.
