My codecanyon plugin got hard rejected

I am new to Envato, I uploaded my plugin for the first time -

The same images and product descriptions were added.

It got hard rejected and I did not receive any other detailed mail on what caused the issue, so that I can fix the issue. I need help and guidance on this, any help is greatly appreciated.

@mgscoder @ki-themes can you please help me. Thanks in advance.

  2. I have full list of plugins that I was planning to sell here, which of these you feel is a good idea! - just small help, we can connect over mail too, if you can guide me a bit.

Check if there’s any free versions first. No one would pay for something that they could get it free. Quick check your list, most of the plugins ideas are outdated. There’re too many similar items and I don’t think you’d get any approval.

Codecanyon loss! - anyways it got sold to shutterstock - I always thought code licensing / digital products marketplace was a lucrative business, not any more after news of acquisition and for the amount.

I would welcome codecanyon decision too, as if something is available for free, why should someone pay for it!

Sorry to bother you again, but I saw those who got hard reject, also got a mail with the reasons why it got rejected, while I didn’t receive any, will I get any or just contact support? Because if something is creating an issue, I will try removing or fixing the issue in other plugins.

@mgscoder I will appreciate if you give your inputs too.

If you didn’t receive the Item review notification email (you should to check spam/junk as well), then check your email settings (Settings => Email Settings) in Envato market Dashboard Settings, is there a check mark for Item review notifications.

Sometimes email can go in spam, so need to check inbox, spam, junk as well.


Thank you @mgscoder for your prompt response, but I did checked my Spam folder, I did’t receive any, the notification was turned off, I turned it on few hours back.

Is there any way to get the hard reject mail notification of this particular plugin again? - if yes how?

If hard rejected then Envato send a common email to let the author know that it is hard rejected. Just mentioned hard rejected because lack of quality standard.

Can I Get Feedback For My Hard Rejected Item?

  • Envato know it can be frustrating to have a submission rejected and hope that you won’t be discouraged.
  • Envato encourage you to take advantage of the many talented and helpful community members who choose to provide constructive feedback on Envato forums.

No chance to resend the email but if it was hard rejected then there would be no feedback as to why.

That is only when soft rejected.

Aside from this - you are an exclusive author and offer the plugin as part of a subscription advertised on your demo page?

You cannot do that and there’s a good chance that if the reviewer saw that then they didn’t even review the item and just rejected it automatically,

Thanks @charlie4282 a lot!!! You finally understood me, I am trying to get the hard reject email only for this, to rule out if I was hard rejected for being an exclusive author yet offering the plugin as part of a subscription my site.

I did un-enroll from exclusive program. I think I should wait till 2nd of June 2024.

If it was down to the exclusivity (which would be my first guess) then they don’t state this in the rejection email.

Given that it’s something frowned on quite a bit I’d wait until your account is listed properly as non exclusive before resubmitting anything

I’m sorry to hear that your codecanyon plugin got hard rejected. That can be disappointing. Did they give you any specific feedback or reasons for the rejection?
