Basically every theme can do that. If you’re using wordpress than you could add all your products through simple “posts”. Or you install an e-commerce plugin like woocommerce or jigoshop where you can manage your products with details, sku, product attributes and more. Then you only need to hide the “buy now” buttons through CSS for example. Or with customizing a theme, which you can do by yourself (with some knowledge) or by hiring a freelancer.
I know this probably won’t help much but that is it.
I did something like that in Opencart and hide all the Buy/AddtoCart elements from the default template, if you need it just send me a message from my profile page.

Many themes (including ours) have portfolio plugin that can be used for product presentation. You’ll click on the image let’s say and you’re brought to portfolio detail page -> product page.

I agree with your point. But what’s your opinion about Joomla is it easier to use than WordPress?
