⚡ Insanely Simple Solution To Our Search Problem!

I also agree that this would be the best solution. But if we are being a bit realistic I think it’s safe to assume that this will most likely not happen, simply because the current “heavy title weight” system works fine for all the other markets.

Just as an example: with the last category experiments a series of problems with the search engine happened, including the messed up trending sort at AJ. I know this for a fact because I was speaking with a developer through support some months ago. Point is, the search engine is a house of fragile cards for developers and Envato will most likely be negative to do any major changes risking more problems just to adapt to AJ.

So as a simple, realistic solution, I honestly can’t find any problems with adding “Creative Name” to AJ tracks if its done the following way:

Like @AudioTrend already mocked up:

The creative title “Amazing Blue Sky” could simply be automatically copied down to tags once you write it (this can’t be rocket science to implement so it’s done automatically when entering creative name):

  • Then Creative Title will also be searchable.

  • It will not interfere with the current search system in any way. It will simply use the system which already exists. Customers search with keywords as they always do.

  • I suggest the Creative Title to only be added to the design boxes in addition to the normal “Search Name/Keyword Title”. This way authors who don’t want to use Creative Names only leave the Creative Name field blank, their Search Name/Keyword title will show up anyway.

  • The preview mp3 files can just be named with the Search Name/Keyword title as they always have been, or alternatively ADD the creative title in the preview name (if its not to big project for Envato)

Summarised, a very small doable project that would increase the professionalism and presentation of AudioJungle a lot.
