I had submitted 5 or 6 flyers before this one and they all got rejected so, I tried to improve myself but I think it wasn’t good enough. So, I’m here for some help and advice from the community to give some. I also feel maybe I’m lacking something. How I approach designing a flyer is that I want it simple and designed with mostly shapes. I might wanna try the whole heavy graphics approach but I feel I can’t do justice to it. Let me know your valuable advice.
hi u have big issues with hierarchy, nothing is popping out, then the typo is basicallyt too flat, then, the spacing has to be reworked gamely since very different from some elements to others …finally u should create a quality fake logo to underline your item too …
I agree on the hierarchy and maybe the spacing when I look at it now. But when you say nothing is popping and the font is too flat, don’t you think that is how corporate/business templates are basically? I’m always designing flat and I mostly like to design corporate flyers so that I would be able to design them. A quality logo is what I’ll keep in mind. I’ll scrape this altogether and start a fresh.
hi well u are free to foloow or not … no one has universal knowledge anyways … i speak with a background of 15 years as a graphic designer, now u do what u want with what i said u are free … now just to tell u, i have seen guys come out here all the time, u explain things to them and they keep on doing the same and guess what nothing is going through …
believe me in this context, even very talented guns out there have items rejected, included experienced guys like me … now u are in a category where there are tons of items, and u must identify about this, the question is, for most oif guys, “why did i create this and it did not go through, when many items have been accepted in the same style?” so u are free to do as some guys did and did better than u and have all your items binned, or u can try something else , it’s up to u …
what i can assure u however is that most of the guys who come here have in common this is a plain typo, without much combinations, with titles not popping out that much and so on … once again u are free to consider or not …
I didn’t mean to sound negative. Sorry if you felt that way it’s just that what I’ve seen in the reference on the internet is Flat fonts and mostly everything is flat when it comes to corporate. I don’t have that much of an experience to understand I just take reference mostly. And I’ll take your advice it’ll help me in the future process.
… and think a little bit further, put yourself in a client shoes then try to imagine how your flyer will work into a real business scenario. About this flyer it looks very superficial, done in hurry and without any attention to details.
i do agree with u , there is a thing that i usually call “extra value” lacking in my view, i mean the kind of thing that professionals bring to the table so that their items real look professional and makes them differ from a guy who basically knows how to use photoshop tools …
