Hard reject. Listen to this.

Today we gave a hard rejectt to the track. Two rejections in a row, strange. Well, I’m not too upset. This topic has been raised many times that envato is looking for something new, but everything is written and loaded just as a copy. Okay, maybe I’m wrong, just listen to this :love_you_gesture: :slightly_smiling_face:

Beautiful track, loved it! :slightly_smiling_face:

I heard a few notes in the piano with louder dynamics than what the overall sentimental mood calls for. Maybe that’s the reason for the rejection? Really hard to say.

Anyway, good luck!

Thank you SoundSet. :slightly_smiling_face: Yes, there may be a few notes with high dynamics somewhere. I think if it was a matter of a few notes, could give the track a soft reject  and describe the problem, it’s never too late to give a hard reject if the problem isn’t resolved. The reason here is clearly something else…

Hey Rmixstudio, I like the tune. For me, I think this track would sound better with looser and more expressive timing. It sounds like a piano student playing to a metronome, especially the clock-like left hand. It gets hypnotic after a while. Try playing with the tempo track to really get the emotions going. Also, as @Soundset suggested, play with the note velocities of the piano. It needs a greater dynamic range. At the moment, it sounds like it’s almost a flat line at 100.
The orchestral drum roll crescendo at the end didn’t do it for me. I felt like it was a weird way to end.

@Soundset @criskcracker Hi friends :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed: :slightly_smiling_face:, I’ve turned the mix faders a little bit based on your comments. :upside_down_face: You can hear it here. https://soundcloud.com/rmixstudio/piano-sintimental-new-preview-aj1

Nice! I think that the softer piano conveys the sentimental emotions, and works better in this context. :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks! I will try to upload it in this form to AJ …

I agree with the comments in order to improve the feeling. Let us know how it went.

Hello. My track received a severe rejection. Please comment what is wrong with the track.

Good morning.

Great job!

At the very beginning, I didn’t realize there was a Cello, it sounded like noise. The mix definitely needs work striking a balance between the two, you might also want to have the piano come in first and then the string. I would work on softening the piano, sculpting the velocity, and using some tempo automation to create some more movement.

You’re off to a good start!

Good morning! Perhaps you haven’t heard the other version? it is located at the link SoundCloud - Hear the world’s sounds

Very nice track

Thanks! I appreciate your feedback!

Hi again.

Getting better!

You start with a nice flowing melody, but then it starts to get choppy. Instead of repeating those notes in the melody, I would just hold them out. Also the lower melody note is getting cut off at :42. One of the G#'s is out of tune at :48. I would advise against the tempo change at :50, just revamp it to be a variation of your original feel. Same with the change at 1:!4. I’m hearing a little clipping at 1:26-1:27. The part at 1:50 is very nice. Try to make the last notes hang a little longer, and give a breath before you play them.

You’re headed in the right direction, but keep it flowy like you started, and don’t forget to breathe!

Hi friends, @Soundset @engeltone @criskcracker
I decided to leave this music for 4 months, relax, do something new. After a while, I went back to the mix and remade it. The result? Aprroved track. All thanks)))
