This is the first hard reject I receive in several years, am I missing something?

Wow, no hard rejection for several years? I admire that… I had quite a few with just 30 submissions…
Well i listened to the track, everything was going smoothly, and then at 0:32 …
It could be a cool effect, but the “silence” is a bit too long to my taste, and it does not sound good, you really think “oh, what is going on with the sound player”…
Not sure it is the problem, but to my ears, this would need to be fixed…

Hello @pietrogirardi !
- Thing I say is that you have glue from 0:32 (at the point) (this is a defect).
- Piano is that in the beginning I would have made softer (not so aggressive in sound). Then 0:32 went the second part (the piano disappeared)(I feel a pit in the sound) and there are no new instruments added.
- 1:31 is not exactly attractive atonality. I would replace it with a more smooth and powerful development! Good luck!
Thanks a lot @frozenjazz ! Yes, I think that’s the problem, along with what might be a change of instrumentation that’s too abrupt (I could insert a low level piano track in the second part, just to make the transition smoother).
So… back to work!

Thanks a lot @CleanMagicAudio for your feedback, I think you pointed out the flaws. Only thing I disagree with is point 3 - dissonances are aimed at increasing tension towards the end.
I’ll try to edit and resubmit, I’ll let you know as soon as I have this approved
