H.264 mp4 Format for Pre-render Files in my After Effects Template

Hello!
I’m working on a project that will include 20 pre renders that get quite large in size if I render them in Apple ProRes 422, which is great. My question is can I use H.264 .mp4 in my after effects assets? I’ve tested and I don’t notice any noticeable difference in quality, and the size is greatly reduced.

Yes no problem, I’ve used .mov photojpeg and also .mp4 h.264 in my pre renders ,never had an issue!
