Hope you created API key here: https://build.envato.com/create-token/

for ftp You will need to confirm the following settings:

Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
Host: ftp.marketplace.envato.com
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Logon Type: Ask for password
User: <your Envato username here> (this is case-sensitive)
Password: <you will be prompted for the API key>

Thanks

Hi

Thanks for your reply but I have done all that many times. No luck.
Looks like envato server is not allowing to connect.

make sure you are using latest version ftp software (FileZilla) and envato only support TLSv1.0 and above for encryption.

please read carefully troubleshooting guide (if you haven’t already) and work through that to see if it helps.

Looks Envato server problem

But here it says that you successfully connected? Have you tried uploading and seeing if it works?

just tried. it gives me this message.

Status: Resolving address of ftp.marketplace.envato.com

It seems like you connected? Just drag a file to that server folder and see if it’s uploading

The problem arises when switching to FTP over TLS
.
Other servers are also giving same errors when switching to FTP over TLS.

Other servers work fine when switched to Plain FTP is insecure and connects bur Envato wont connect with FTP insecure.

Hmm never even had to think of FTP or TLS… are you using Filezilla? In there I just connect and put my files here:

And don’t have to worry about anything else.

This is what I am doing…

Host. ftp.marketplace.envato.com

user: maxafter1

password: ****************

Encryption. use Explicit FT over TLS

Yes tried it.
re installed FileZilla
Protocol: FTP - File Transfer Protocol
Host: ftp.marketplace.envato.com
Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available
Logon Type: Ask for password
User: (this is case-sensitive )
Password: <you will be prompted for the API key

nothing works

Did you enter “21” for port?
Also, I usually use the quick connect function where you enter all your credentials here: (ignore the weird language  but for you it should say server, nickname, password, port and then to quickly connect)

Instead of going through filezila connection menus

Yeah don’t use that window. Only enter your info to where I highlighted in red, in my screenshot.

yes I even tried that aswell

And what happened?

So you are connected. Now just drag and drop your file to this window:

Password: <you will be prompted for the API key>

So, hope you have given the api key as a password and created api from the modern api (link provided in my first reply) with proer permission:

It has permissions to:
