First Time Rejection, Need Feedback

Hi All,

I’m excited to be a part of this wonderful community. I submitted a corporate track that was rejected and I’m looking for feedback. If you could listen and let me know, I’d appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Can’t find anything wrong here. Seriously. Mix is great, song is very tame and commercial. Maybe a bit monotonous? A lead melody can probably go far here. It’s sucks man, I also got rejected, twice so far. Just keep at it!

Hi! I think, reviewers are tired. And market is overwhelmed. As for me, it is a main reason of rejection. Track is very very nice and production is great. Just keep this music for spring or summer!!!

I think there are a few issues. First, as pilotaudio pointed out, the marketplace is overwhelmed with this kind of track, and you have to create something particularly excellent in order to get accepted in this category. Your track isn’t terrible, but it is a basic, by the numbers “corporate upbeat” track and it doesn’t have enough originality to distinguish it from the others already in the library.

The repeating chord progression is a bit bland. It sounds like you’ve used NI’s Strummed Acoustic, straight out of the box which doesn’t sound authentic because the repeated samples become monotonous.
The bass line is uninspiring. Nothing but root notes with the occasional leading note, and it’s a bit relentless.
Mix-wise, I think it’s acceptable, but it didn’t blow me away by any means.
