hello,
first sorry for my english. i still want to take the time to give some feedback to envato and the upload process for authors. because it is by far the worst experience of all microstock websites i contributed too in 15 years (that is around 10 sites or so by now).
batch tagging does not seem to work.
i select a few images and want to keyword them, they all have a green border around them, telling me they are selected. but only ONE is actually keyworded.
it should be a simple process… if i am doing something wrong please tell me.
now to the really annoying part… the keywording.
who had the idea that this is a good way to do keywording?
i bet he/she has NEVER uploaded anything to envato.
you write a keyword and then have to SELECT the keyword AGAIN out of a huge list of mostly keywords with spelling errors. scrolling through that list of keywords takes an awfull amount of time.
you can not put in multiple keywords at once, seperated by a comma like on any other microstock website. no you have to repeat this process for every single keyword.
for the people who like to advice that you can/should keyword with an extra program,
i am keywording my images in lightroom but i need to add microstock specific keywords to images i upload.
i also do not want a discussion about how i can keyword outside envato. this is about envato making THEIR website better. otherwise why offering a keywording tool when it is annoying and mostly useless?
then there are THREE scrollbars next to eachother on the right side of the keywording website.
really who has designed this website?
i could give more examples of bad website design at envato but please, please, please at least fix the upload process.
make it so you can select a batch of images and keyword them all at once.
make it possible to paste a list of keywords without the need to select them out of a list with unrelated keywords who have spelling errors.
i really have the impression envato wants it to be the most misserable experience to upload they can achieve.
i can not be the only one who hates this time consuming process?!
i have less than 300 images on envato while having around 12000-19000 on other microstock websites. all because the upload process at envato is so frustrating that i want to hit my monitor after 5 minutes.
thanks for reading my little rant.
i normaly stay quiet but this has build up for a long time.
