Envato Locked my account when I traveled to a restricted country :(

Hi,

I can’t believe that Envato is ignoring me and punishing me because of a mistake that I was not aware of.
I was a videohive author and envato locked my account, all my items and money a year ago while I traveled to a restricted country. I was in a restricted country for three months and I was not aware of envato restricted countries so I logged in my account from there.

It’s been around 1 year that my account is locked and they hold something around $3000 on my account. I opened lots of tickets to prove to them that I am not a citizen of that country and I just had a trip there for a while, but nobody on envato answers my tickets and they are all ignoring me. this was the last ticket number 1744626 that I sent but I didn’t receive a respond as always.

I opened this topic here to call someone on envato to take action and investigate this for me because nobody respond to my tickets.

Thanks for your suggestions.
you may not believe but I sent more than 10 help tickets to the envato but they do not respond to my tickets and they ignore me. I also read all the topics on the forums like the one you shared and can’t find the solution. My account was locked while I had a travel to a restricted country and now I am living in my own country and I am not in that restricted country anymore, but Envato still ignores me and don’t want to pay my holding earnings after one year.

Even if you weren’t aware of the sanctions, Envato cannot legally send your author payments or provide service to you in while in that country. If they do, they can suffer very serious consequences (we’re talking potential fines in the millions of USD).

If support told you that they will not reinstate your account, then that decision was final. They won’t reply any further as final decisions aren’t open for discussion.

Relevant section of the Envato Market Terms:

56. Blocking a member, disabling an account or refusing to process a payment.

We may block you, terminate any of your Envato accounts or refuse to process a payment, including withholding your account balance indefinitely, if we reasonably believe there is a risk associated with you, your Envato account, or that payment, including if it breaches a law or regulation.

Examples of where we might do this include transactions where we suspect the payment is from or to a person or country sanctioned by an authority (like the United Nations, the United States government or the Australian government); or where we reasonably believe there is a legal or regulatory risk or a risk of loss being suffered by us or our members.

You warrant that you are not located in a sanctioned country and are not on a sanctioned persons list. You also warrant that you will not purchase items on Envato Market using funds sourced from a sanctioned country. We may also block members from a country if we can’t make payments to or from that country.

What you said is completely true, but I am not a resident of a sanctioned country and my account was locked while I visited that country. Now I am living in my own country which is not a restricted country and envato should release my holding funds and reactivate my account.

This is not a fair decision to disable a persons account and hold all the funds and do not reinstate that account because of a visit from a restricted country. I hope that an envato staff respond to my tickets and ask me for any documents from me to proof my identity and location.

I know person who visited Crimea and logged to envato account there.
Both Power elite accounts were blocked. I guess you have to forget about money and your old account.
