Envato looks not at our sales, but only at its profits… And with such an aggressive policy of promoting Elements, I think Envato’s profits are growing… It has long been clear that the authors - this is not a community, but simply expendable!

Hey, guys, who joined Elements (majority). You helped Envato to offer your products literally for free. Of course, Envato made that possible, but you asked for manual pricing first and dropped prices eventually. You actually let them know that you are willing to work for crumbs. If you are going to destroy this market, no one will be able to help you. I understand when graphic, music and other assets (that usually require a week to create) are offered via Elements, but it’s morally intolerable to accept such scheme for selling WordPress themes, created in 6-24 months. So, don’t cry, accept the reality, stop uploading, leave market etc. You will give a chance to authors, who don’t want to work for $50/mo.

I sensed envato as been separating the marketplaces in a subtle way. One for really high quality, popular expensive items/packs, one for regular templates. That’s just my opinion but whatever the case is all this is unfair to us authors.
I have decided to stop upload here for a while. We can’t be uploading & promoting our templates only to be redirected by a banner offering every template for less $, lost in a sea of popular items as default search.
These items already as a stage of there own what more visibility do they need? Personally I’m tired & bored of seeing them.

I had to fire my support staff of two years today 
truly sad, after the last three months sales I can no longer afford to pay them. This is not only destroying businesses but also families that depend on them. I update my plugins and themes at least twice a month yet in my category there is a theme that hasn’t been updated since 2016 and its taking 4th place in the results:
Very unfair! What’s truly worrying is the lack of response from envato staff. It seems they’re just reading in the background without a care in the world. This is my only source of income, I live as a refugee in Italy with my wife and two daughters and I don’t have the heart to tell them what’s going on yet…
I’m currently looking for an alternative option as I cannot allow my family to go into the street because of this…
