Buyer rights and protection from faulty themes and unreliable author support



I’ve just had one of the worst experiences with a theme purchase. Not only was the theme coded poorly, the support was horrible. I actually bought the theme with extended support and it was just so disappointing. Is there anything that would also protect buyers from these type of experiences? I would ultimately ask a refund of my purchase but I don’t think it’s gonna happen. Should customers just take it on the chin if they encounter this type of scenarios?



Regarding the refund, i think Envato should refund you if the theme doesn’t work as advertised.

Also, i recommend you look at the buyer rating and in the item comments to see if the item has problems and also if it’s supported properly by the author before purchasing an item.
