AudioJungle Sales Monitor 3

Another “elements” site, not the Envato one, which has both subscription and classic licensing models, sets the price option as “free” by default. So, it already happened.

When they changed the split a few months ago to 60/40 (or was it 70/30?) I immediately raised the price of all my tracks to minimum 100$. At least there has been no change in the author split here, so far.

Good one, sales the same?

Yes, still no sales :joy:

Hahaha

I found it outrageous when they changed the split…for years they set the moral (and financial) example by doing it 50/50 and then…poof.

Hi @WormwoodMusic ! :slightly_smiling_face:
Sometimes they drown in a puddle, because they do not understand what they are doing.
“The one who is destined to drown himself will not strangle himself” (proverb)!

A wise proverb by the way!

Sales shaked on 25th of march. 10days 0 sales, with only 2 happen on 3th and 5th of april :frowning:
I sell only VH and TF, just checking other groups for what’s is going on here.

My theory that some young newbie with convincing thoughts convinced to shake up the system. Yeah you know, we always tried to prove ourselves in the first months at a new job.
Definitely something was made, change of server, platform, URLs, adds or etc. (it’s enough to get your site offline for few seconds to lost traffic forever especially when google bot is scanning your website at that very special moment). Yet i do have almost same amount of traffic to my item, yet sales droped to the floor.

Different perspectives. Two sales this month for me too - on 3th and 5th. But I consider this normal. Sales are very slow here on AJ.

Cannot imagine that. If people want to buy something on AJ and would not be able to do because of technical issues, I’m sure, they would contact the support team or write something in the customer forum.
Sales dropped, that’s right, but I guess there are other reasons than technical issues.

How many sales do you usually have in a week? I see you have been here since 2011 and have 675 sales, so 2 sales the last ten days would be about average?

20-40 items a month (portfolio is always expanding, do not calculate it from day 1 when i sign up as a user-buyer).

14 views in last 7 days. Cool. I wish if Envato made a statement and shared some statistics to at least understand if this is such a drop on the whole market, or some changes been made to search engine, or am I just doing something wrong?

Yes well that’s musicians for you - same happens with live gigs you tell live musicans DONT PLay at certain venues FOR FREE …but someone will always step forward and do it for free…

maybe there should be a minimum amount for a track.
I am a library Music old timer (Did my first production album in the 80s) I joined audio Jungle out of curiosity just to see how it works - I have only 12 tracks on my profile and up until a few weeks ago was selling a couple a week at 25 dollars
but seems like as a lot of others have been saying - suddenly sales have dried -
something is happening…not good

Yes, even me, who has been new for almost 2 years, I see a sharp decline in my sales growth??? NOT NORMAL??? Even with the pandemic!!!

At the moment, my income has dropped 20 times !!! By April 9, I do not have the required withdrawal amount! I don’t remember something like that for the last 5 years. It looks like the beginning of the end …

I have always found that responsible pricing rewards with an agreeable income.
