3 questions about account and why it is so hard to sell.

Hello. I have next questions:

  • Is that possible to change name (nickname) of the profile ?
  • Does the fact that my account was inactive for a long time affect it selling possibilities ? I don’t get why me tracks are completely ignored by customers. I don’t think that they are that bad. I have only few explanations - where this because I’ve created this account a long time ago and started to use it this year it could look as a red flag for search engine or customers. Or second reason that is possible my tracks ‘out of format’ for customers who usually looks for typical trailer music or some other “safe” filler music which does not have any memorable melody.
  • Is that possible to created new account and delete existing one and upload same tracks I’ve already uploaded ?

  1. Changing name of the profile does not increase sales, in fact changing name may result in buyers not finding you - Envato is reducing support of Audiojungle and concerntrating on Elements.
  2. Inactivity of account hinders authors as buyers want new items.
  3. Not possible - it is written into terms of service that this is not allowed - do not do it as it is gaming the system. Reach out to support for changing account portfolios.

GBall here summed everything up perfectly. I’ll just add some detail:

  1. Yes, you can change your profile name if you want but I hardly doubt it will have any impact whatsoever.
  2. Yes, being inactive for too long affects sales but almost no author is getting decent sales these days in AJ, not even with +500 tracks portfolios, and I see you currently have only 6.
  3. As mentioned, that’s not allowed, but I’ll add it’d be quite useless anyway.

If you want to bet on Envato, the only way I’d see it viable (no guarantees, though), is to grow a big enough portfolio (+150 tracks minimum) with solid quality and hope to receive an invitation to Elements. Otherwise, there’s not much to do or achieve here anymore.

ALio and MA seem to be much stronger enviornments right now, though they’re quality tier is high and I’m not sure if they’re taking in new artists.

150+ tracks could take a lot of time taking into account I don’t wanna make copy-paste tracks.
I will find another platform or maybe another way to use my music.
