WP - Hard Reject - First with feedback than only aggressive replies. Why?

Hi,

I have troubles to upload my new WordPress theme due after an initial Hard Reject with some feedback I continue to get immediate hard rejects with only messages like these:

1. Do not resubmit hard rejected items without major improvements. Continually doing so may result in your upload rights being revoked.

2. You need to stop resubmitting hard rejected items without making any significant changes.

The problem is that the improvements are many and visible, so what should I do?
I totally understand there is a extremely high competition, what I don’t like is:

1. The aggressive messages of the reviewers for no reasons. I made the changes!
2. No feedback after the first
3. Threats of upload right restrictions
4. The fact that the design seem clearly at same quality level of the last approved constructions themes, link below.

I hope that someone can provide me some explanation or feedback.
The design quality seem clearly enough for the construction category. Especially if you look to the newest approved themes:

Ok. Great! Third time I ask for a feedback about WP rejects and third time I get 0 replies.
Are WP review topics became a “tabu”? Or what the hell is happening ? Really no one have anything to write ? :hear_no_evil::hear_no_evil::hear_no_evil:

I really like your design I hope my opinions will help you


check it i made little touches.

  1. use some shape for logo
  2. make navbar colored and min 50-60px height
  3. pick better svg icons from iconfinder.com
  4. your nav looks litttle empty add some menus there
  5. put something rightside of navbar
  6. your font too thin to read white on yellow make it bold or use dark color

Dear, its a poor quality design. At first you should hire a good designer.

Hard rejects only happen for design.

A reply is always welcome. Maybe is not enough for WP category but It’s clearly not a poor quality design. Secondary did you checked these themes:

Nex from Vamtam is a top quality design and item.

From my 5 years experience just follow the guideline from @themezinho

I’ve some experience of hard rejection and I know the feelings.

It’s strange and frustrating. It’s really subjective at the end. For me Nex from Vamtam have a very poor design:

  1. There is not one single correct space, they are all different and not aligned, both vertical and horizontal, on https://nex.vamtam.com/
  2. Media contents are low quality. What is the goal of a luxury car into a construction theme?
  3. Some element seem incomplete like the PLAY VIDEO button.

It’s really strange for me that you think it is a high quality design better than my one. I may send both to Awwards or similar, I’m curious.

It is really not funny! review this approved item and hard rejected our item : http://www.demo-ninetheme.com/bon

We lost 1 year these new review system/ reviewers, reasons :

  1. I am afraid this item is pretty poor and quite far from prime ready. It would undoubtedly take a considerable amount of work to get it to a point where we would consider going further with a full review. So I am afraid I will have to hard reject it on this instance.

Examples of areas which look terribly bland and/or unfinished but there are many more:

We are only considering items that really stand-out and have been carefully crafted.

your design quality is good for me, before you resubmit doable check are you submit correct updated file, (Few times i faced like that situation). Try to reduce animation speed, for me its too fast. other wise theme is very nice, try to resubmit,

thank you but when we send again will hard rejected, i tried on another themes. Where is Envato team leaders? Are they not visit forums while 1 year?

The Nex theme design is obviously better than yours, my opinion.

IMO, your design is good but not better than NEX of vantam.

  1. Never upload or resubmit hard reject item. If you made the chance, then should rename the item name and resubmit.

  2. You need to change your logo, your current logo is bad. It looks like a switch button, not alike logo.

  3. Should use same font for menu and heading (title)

  4. Increase the button size and icon. There are much tiny button and icons. This is an example https://prnt.sc/lzn0kd

  5. Increase the font size. More improvements in the following areas are needed:

  • Visual hierarchy.

  • Typography.

  • Forms and buttons.

  • More attention to details.

  • Better design consistency.

  • An overall spacing.

  • Color contrast and schemes.

It’s subjective, but if we try to be objective NEX is full of basic design mistakes:

Alignments (almost everything is not aligned to each other)
Spacing (almost all sections and components have different spacing)
Consistency
Overall pages content seem poor and the whole pages empty.
Images (low resolution)
