Please add a payout option in USDT or USDC. It’s not difficult to do, fees are much less, payouts are instant, and it’s available to everyone in the world.
PayPal, Payoneer and Bank Wire are slow and expensive. This is old fintech that’s holding back global commerce. Authors should have better options.

Adopting a crypto payout is a massive business consideration that would require input from all sorts of teams.
Out of genuine interest are there other (sizeable) marketplaces like envato that offer that to authors? Would be interesting to see what they offer and how they manage it
Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ethereum are highly volatile. Their prices can fluctuate dramatically within short periods, making it challenging. Additionally, cryptocurrency is still subject to regulatory scrutiny across different countries. Inconsistent global regulations and ongoing discussions about how cryptocurrencies should be governed create a legal minefield for companies.
@charlie4282 I’m not sure but there should be due to the many advantages. I imagine a lot of marketplaces look to Envato to lead the way.
@baevox That’s why I only suggested USD stablecoins since payouts are already in USD. Converting to other cryptos isn’t practical. Envato would only need to adhere to regulations in their own jurisdiction. USDC for example is a licensed and regulated stablecoin in the US. For authors that can’t receive payments in stablecoins due to legal issues the other payout methods would still be available.
Again I would love to see someone doing this already to see what that looks like and if it’s hard to find examples of then what may be the cause of that.
I started using Mural Pay for my payouts. Payments are received within a day or so and they charge a miniscule ~0.2% fee. After that you can instantly withdraw to USDC for free. Or to a bank account for a small fee.
It’s really the next best thing to Envato offering stablecoin payouts. Highly recommended to anyone wanting stablecoin payouts for the low fees and favourable exchange rates.
Totally agree—adding USDT or USDC as a payout option would be a huge step forward. It’s faster, cheaper, and much more accessible for global authors. Traditional methods like PayPal and wire transfers just can’t keep up. Hope Envato seriously considers modernizing its payout options!
I revert to my earlier question - if this is such a given then could someone share an example of a marketplace (similar to Envato) that are offering crypto payouts to authors so we can see how they do it.
