Trying to figure it out. Reject. Feedback please!

My first submission got rejected. So, I’m trying to figure out what is suitable for AJ. I’m working on another track. Below, there is a concept. Am I on the right track? ( no pun intended  ) Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!

In my opinion, a good idea, but unfortunately I can hear the sound of a cheap synthesizer, not a professional ensemble. So my conclusion, you need to change or tools for the best-sounding, or handle the track with different settings, add depth, volume and make the sound closer to the natural orchestra instead of music played on the synthesizer. hope it must to help

Thanks a lot for your feedback! It’s very useful. So the strings is the only problem you see with the sound? What tools do you use for your production?

Hi Boom! There are definitely some nice ideas here. However, if you listen from beginning to end, the dynamics and feel are very static. I’d recommend changing up some of the repetition a bit, perhaps by adding some dramatic breaks (these give the listeners ear’s a rest). Most of all, try to get the dynamics more varied. Have phrases that grow and fade. This is really key when going for orchestral production. It needs to be dramatic, otherwise it won’t sound authentic.

Good luck!

In my opinion, the problem is not only tools, but also in treatment, not enough volume, try the violin add reverb, change correction EQ on the whole mix “hang” maximizer, dynamic compressor … you should always compare your track with other (popular), similar in style and mood, in order to be close sounding. And listen your track on other equipment, headphones, get your music differ from others. Of course a good library, you can achieve a better result, but a good artist who knows how to draw a pencil work of art … All in your hands and good luck
