If I read your words meaning for this is not to bring more profit to the author but to themselves, so by wrapping the words they were effectively trying to mislead to justify the move.
And the main point again is why move and cause additional expenses to authors? And if the reason is to bring more profit to them then the answer is loud enough. And by stating there can be a bigger revenue pool but not bigger sales for the individual author it negates that it was done for the good of the author.
There are many clear ways Envato can simply explain the situation with facts to calm everyone down but they rather choose to post sugar coated explanations.
