Thank you for your submission and we have rejected your item!

Hello to the Great Sellers!
I have recently submitted my items three times (Every project was a new one) but I got rejections from the reviewers for all three items. They stated the quality was not standard. So basically, I am a graphic designer, I have been designing app screenshots for both the App Store and Google Play Store. I have 5 years of experience in this niche and have worked with almost 450+ clients worldwide on Fiverr and Upwork, I don’t think my work would be of mediocre quality. I am 100% sure that my work has earned me unbelievable appreciation and praise. And my work is of the industry-level AT ALL. But I don’t know what the reviewer team expects to be submitted. Can anyone help me understand this problem? And yes, I also have checked other sellers of my niche, and I can confidently say my work is far better than theirs, despite this the team is rejecting my items. Really disappointed due to this behavior.
Can anyone help me, please?

Thank!

Hello and welcome! :slightly_smiling_face:
Rejections don’t always mean poor quality but it can be that there are too many similar items, some categories are oversaturated and they rather want something refreshing and unique which will bring more sales, and attract more new customers. I suggest you go through the latest approved items when comparing your work, not what has approved a couple of months ago or a year ago, because the quality bar goes higher all the time. What goes well on freelance platforms doesn’t always go well here. Try to create something in a less saturated category, aim for what’s in demand at the moment, seasonal items perhaps, and that might help. We all went through rejections at the beginning. Don’t let that discourage you.

It’s not a answer since I faced same thing and got no guidence or proper reason since my last batch of work was approved and when I submitted another batch they all got rejected without any proper reason, and there are not 10 or 20 files, there are 850+ files different from each other and got rejected in just one minute, How is that possible to look at 850+ files in just one minute and decide to be not quality standard. This leads to reviewer’s working process.

That’s a lot of files and it takes a lot of time to create quality work so I can understand your frustration. 850 files isn’t possible to check in depth for one minute. If they perhaps noticed problems while going through thumbnails, like repetitiveness and similarity of designs, slight changes in designs made only from one file to another, that would trigger rejection. They don’t want customers to check pages and pages of similar items. Another reason could be some error with files which perhaps you didn’t notice. Happens to the best even. I wouldn’t have any other explanation for that quick rejection other than those.

I agree it would be helpful to know the reason for rejection, but as there are many authors, and many files, imagine workload to write an explanation for each. Take your upload rejection as an example where you alone uploaded 850 files at once, for which they would have to write 850 explanations for rejection. Now imagine how many authors uploading every day. Simply not possible for them.
It could be done perhaps with some prewritten email where they have some software in which they could click tags that are rejection reasons and then automatically that triggers email where tags are replaced with sentences explaining what wasn’t done well and what should be changed. That would be super helpful for authors and also not burdening reviewers either as they just click to enable tags.

While on the surface sounds sensible - this has the potential to create even more frustration and delays….

A huge % of submissions are hard rejected.

There are a big part of those where the author simply does not have the experience, market understanding or technical ability to translate generic tags correctly.

Using generic tags would see authors feel like they have addressed the issue and then resubmit.

This would extend the queue and most likely create more frustration for both reviewers and authors if the issue had still not be correctly addressed.

With respect your account is the best evidence of why this probably happened.

You have over 1300 items and just over 100 sales in several years.

This strategy of flooding the marketplace is counter intuitive, is proven not to work, lowers item quality and value, and actually harms the overall experience for users. All reasons for rejection.

You could easily combine many of those items into packs and increase the value, likelihood of people buying it, and greater chance of approval.

And one more Issue in your reply that I am not creating products for videohive from when I created this Account on Videohive, I recently Started working on videohive for last two years and so technically I am here for 7* years and actively working for last 2* years. That’s My perspective on this topic.
If you find anything annoying in this comment than I Am Really Sorry for my harsh replies.
Thanks.

I know one author who contains over 1 million resources and only 700+ sales in total how would you explain this, since Envato introduced Elements so that sales are being lower and lower for every authors. But this doesn’t mean that having 1300 items and sales only 100+, This is not Flooding of content this is providing content so that author can earn on elements since subscription price is only 16$ and on videohive or other, single item can value 20$ or more so this reason you specified is just old response when there were no Envato elements. And for you kind information I am providing that author’s portfolio link here

And please let me know that what is the numbers on this specific account and please be updated since there’s a community post which Highlights the Problem of Sales Going Down since 2019-2024.

It’s very subjective but it all points back to why items get rejected.

That other author is charging $180+ an item so you would expect their sales to be significantly less.

People submitting many many items to Elements will just lead envato to stop accepting new items and reject more because things become saturated. It’s already been the case in some categories.

Your items would be vastly more sellable/downloadable regardless of the marketplace and less likely to be rejected if you grouped together the ones which are very similar but just in a different colour or slightly different animation.

That’s the reason why my Prices dropped now since elements screwed my sales already and now there are no sales for days and one major thing most of my items are Visual Effects so they are related to some different Hollywood movies and the hype of those high at release of those movies. and for that author number of item doesn’t follow the same rule for mine or some other authors like me. THIS IS NOT A JUSTIFICATION FOR SALES BEING LOWER. And for your acknowledgement the same author is on elements. And for a million asset he doesn’t need any sale for months since he got enough money from elements since more items gives you more income and everyone loves money that’s the reason why we are here. And for more income you need more items on your profile that’s why we create them and reviewer rejects them since there is a author who single handedly control the elements. Since there are 10 million stock footage on elements and one guy holds 1 million from them.

Hi! I can understand how frustrating that must feel, especially with your level of experience. Sometimes, marketplace reviewers look for very specific quality or style criteria that may differ from client work standards. I’d suggest checking if there’s any guidance or documentation on their submission requirements—things like file resolution, layout style, or even color schemes could be factors. It might also help to get a second opinion from others in the community who’ve had items approved recently. Hang in there; sometimes a small tweak can make a big difference!

Can I summit a claim or complain about Zilab? They got paid and never deliver my order. Need to save others from getting scammed.
