Hi, my second project in the market was rejected and I did understand the reason.
I have included in the project, tutorial, universal expressions, color slider and a nice presentation preview with license-free image.
They said “unique to our library and cannot be in violation of Envato’s policies”, I think lot of projects in the market have the same design and they are copy and copy and copy of similar projects.
The autors need to know the CRITERIA, because the idea is “THE MARKET ACCEPT ALL PROJECT”.
I think you’re not the first one, such projects have been rejected, if your project is to finalize and make it more difficult to add detail to make more complex animations that your project will be a success
So, Are all the lower thirds project COMPLEX? I hope some different authors will write a comment. The CRITERIA to choose a project It is not clear and difficult to understand.
Hundred of projects in the market are not complex and It is true, hundred of project in the market are not “unique” and It is true, hundred of projects in the market are not creative and It is true, expecilly the lower thirds. Too much authors are a DJ, take something to different projects and remix.
I’d say that it’s not competitive with such kind of projects. I think design and animation should be more clean, also preview colors won’t sale.
it’s just my point of view.
Unfortunately your submission 10 Elegant Lower Thirds isn’t ready for VideoHive and cannot be resubmitted as it did not meet our minimum requirements for quality and/or Envato Market policies. In order for submissions to be considered for sale they must be of high aesthetic and technical quality, unique to our library and cannot be in violation of Envato’s policies.
Regrettably the Help and Quality Teams are unable to offer a critique or feedback on your rejected submission.
Thank you for taking the time to submit your lower third project. Unfortunately this item does not meet our quality requirements and cannot be accepted at this time.
The item does not meet our minimum design, animation, and technical requirements. We strive to accept professional quality projects, and unfortunately this submission doesn’t quite meet that criteria.
When reviewing lower third projects, we take into consideration the flexibility, usefulness, appeal to a broader audience and broadcast readiness of the file.
Sometimes simple or basic lower third projects are acceptable, however they must contain exceptional design in both the layout of the graphics, as well as how the typography and font choices compliment the design.
Unfortunately we don’t feel as though this project meets the standards we have set for these criteria.
I think each project are different. I just need to know what is the process to choose the project. It is important because It is not easy to do a template ( ae project, conversion with scripts, tutorial, description ).
I can not say my project is a good project, I can not, but I have seen in envato “ridiculous” project compared with my last project.
I have seen project in the market are the same from famous “motion design studio”. The authors copying. That’s all, and It is true.
The Envato Team can not afford to differentiate using a CRITERIA of creativity because the projects are often copied.
I’m a motion designer and lot of projects in the market need “more animation and more clean”, and the authors need an explanation.
So if there are tons of copied projects your one should be accepted? You should consider time of release of those projects. Far it goes less common projects are accepted, otherwise market would be overflown with similar lower thirds/titles/slideshows. Even now there are too much kinda projects.
In my Eyes your Project is good but there are few things wrong.
Example: Your used Images pallete and your Typography Pallete is completely different and it’s confusing. Bridge Wallpaper and your Colored Typography etc, it’s not based on Color Pallete!
Dude it’s a project made out of less than 10 keyframes. Come on, how much time did you really “waste” by not getting this accepted? 30 minutes? If you’re planning on succeeding with extremely minimal design, then you’d better get ready to get 5 rejections for each accepted project.
I think do you know how much time we spend to do a layout. It’s not 30 minutes. Why do you write 30 minutes? In each project in the market, You have to work because you have to send different assets ( ae project, tutorial, description without the html editor in the platform, etc…) It is not easy to and you know.
But now, I’m surfing in envato and these day, they accepted some MINIMAL project. I don’t understand the criteria, with 8 million of project in the community.
Please explain me the difference between the color palette and typography palette ( palette is with one T, sotty ). Finally, You said, "In my Eyes your Project is good but there are few things wrong.
If you want I will send you some “wrong project” in Envato. Finally the project It is not perfect but It was ok for the market If you compare It with other project.
It’s a couple of solid layers that have their scales animated. Did you see what projects are around on the marketplace? Compare your projects to best sellers, not other lucky similar projects that got accepted somehow. Aim higher, man. I’m personally sick to DEATH by these minimal projects, what an insult to motion graphics. Literally the sky is the limit and we resume to animating rectangles. /Rant done
Sorry man, that ‘insult to motion graphics’ was adressed to minimal flat design in general, not your project specfically. I do have advice for you though. You ready? Here it is :
Make better projects.
Haha i’m just kidding, don’t get all mad now man. When it comes to minimal design these days, you’re really playing the lottery. If 1 in 5 projects gets accepted you can consider it a success, so just try again.
I can’t honestly tell you why your project was rejected, because in my eyes it’s better than some that I’ve seen recently accepted, which can lead to confusion… but keep in mind there are a few reviewers with unique taste, so you may have a slight imbalance when it comes to that. We won’t be able to give you a direct answer, if you want an answer straight from a reviewer, try contacting support to see if they’ll put you through to one. If not, try another project. This is the way Envato goes, you either roll with the punches or you sell to another marketplace.
While Voxyde could’ve chose his words a tad better, his “aggressive” point of view is no excuse for you to go around taking personal shots (calling him ignorant, a DJ, and telling him to shut up). It isn’t going to help your case as an author on here, and is in complete violation to the rules. If you can’t handle the criticism without dishing personal attacks on authors, then it’s probably best to stay off the forums.
You didn’t get it. Such project could be easily accepted year ago, but now it’s getting harder and harder to be accepted for such projects. Thats what i meant about time
