There’s nothing wrong with giving new tracks a chance at exposure; that’s one thing I noticed has changed in the search engine in the last few months and I’ve been very grateful for it! Although it means tracks may quickly fall down, it also gives new tracks a chance to make it to the popular files list, which from there they can continue to sell without relying on the top positions of the search results. In response to your point about high-selling tracks: there could also be an option in the search to prioritise sales - similar to the existing search-by-sales function but not so severe as it is now.
Ultimately, what needs to be resolved is the title issue, and bringing back the importance of tags through an improved search engine.
