  3. Frightened by ncmusic: truly. This track scared the hell out of me. I guess I was having a nightmare while awake. I would love to see this track in some nail biting scene of a horror video.

  4. Tension Action by aspiringko: i love the uptempo beat which makes the heart beat rises immediately. Great horror ambience!

  5. Spooky Hour Party by IDLaunchMusic: it is my latest track. The piano tune, radiobox, strings, effects, brass section and drums … it is a great mix which honors the Spooky Hour Party between 23:00 and 0:00. Let the haunted dolls dance! Enjoy!

Hello, this is my entry!

These are a few schreeching sound fx. They fill up a whole spectrum of spookyness.

This song is scary but in a light hearted way, it reminds me of The Addams Family.

This is a really cool female scream that sends shivers down the spine.

This is a creepy song ment for horror trailers, it starts off with what sounds almost like a lullaby and at the end it is full blast epicness.

This one is by me and has that classic, retro feel of a horror movie from the 80’s.

    Scary Screams by FXProSound


    Easily a useful sound of something you’d hear in a horror movie where people are being tortured, like Silent Hill or Saw.

    What I like is that it uses simplistic pads to capture a very raw feeling of something ominously frightening, it’s the exact kind of sound I see in games or a TV series.

    Dark Watercave by Micolade


    While not overbearingly terrifying on it’s own, it does a very good job doing all of the necessary work to audibly set up a scary scene. This one very accurately captures not only water droplets in a cave but a very dark sounding wind that rushes around you in its environment and it really lets you know that something bad is about to happen, I could swear this was the exact sound they used in the Skyrim (PC game) caves.

    A versatile base track providing a dark and more cinematic atmosphere for a wide variety of horrific events. This is what people would expect to hear in professional commercials, movie trailers or suspenseful movie/TV scenes.

    I thought I’d add this to the list to round out the audio. This provides a much more cartoonish style of horror, especially for more modern or futuristic settings. It’s the kind of track you’d hear in grim 2-D platform games/apps and animated shows like Invader Zim where creepy things happen.

      It differs from the gray mass of the entire track. Mysterious and mystical, humorous and sneaking. Suitable for projects with a different mood.

      Versatile track at a rate of 3/4. Unloaded redundant instruments and at the same time in the track is development. Very good transfers holiday mood.

    Urban Hunt by Sonic Cube

    On of my own tracks which i really like. Made it during a night shift in the studio and got inspired by some dark clouds haunting trough the cities skyline. Delivers a creepy atmosphere with a lot of tension.

    Death Shout Sound FX by R-Mafi

    While there are hundreds of similar sound fx available, this (old) one catches my attention everytime i browse for “death” in the sound fx genre.

    Night Shift by Core Sound

    An amazingly inspiring track that tells a nice story. There are dark moving ambient soundscapes accompanied with a nice melancholic piano melody. Listening to this track over and over again without getting bored.

    Mars Rover by Markoni

    I love the haunted Teremin like sounds in this track. I love it when i hear sounds that do inspire me and havent heard them a thousand times before.

    Wrath of Vampires by Poul Woln

    A doom guitar track that reflects the morbid life of Vampires. Perfect track for any dark and creepy footage.
