Rejected Wordpress theme based on HTML template

Hello Guys,

Few weeks ago I transformed my template “piecia” from HTML to Wordpress.
Today I received answer from Reviewers

" Unfortunately, your submission is too similar to existing item(s) in our marketplace. Your upload must be a unique concept not based on any existing marketplace item."

Sorry but it’s based on my the latest template :smile: which exists on marketplace. I got few soft rejects and I mentioned that wordpress theme is based on approved HTML template.

What should I do in this case?
Might reviewers can help me?

Did you notify the reviewer that the HTML is yours? I would have thought if all else is ok and you make them aware of this then it will be fine

Its not that straight forward anymore salfy. My lastest wp is based on my own HTML and I was forced to make design changes to get it approved.

And, iv converted another authors HTML to wp which is in softreject to. Same again, they are specifically calling out sections that are fine in HTML but not god enough for wp.

Its a shame really.

I will try to resubmit tommorow theme with additional comment about approved HTML version.

When I will get reply from reviewers I will let you know.

Hi Guys,

I received answer from envato reviewers and I have to fix design issues in blog.

The conclusion is that the Reviewers read our comments when item is submitted.
