I made an official refund request. But I can’t find it on the site and I can’t see the answers. I haven’t received any email about this. Is there a message section? I don’t know where I can see the progress of my application.
I bought the Cloux Gaming theme hoping to use the pre-built templates from the demo on Elementor.
I had checked on the internet the compatibility of this theme with Elementor by typing “Cloux Theme Wordpress Elementor” and it seemed that this theme was compatible. In addition, in the theme’s help center, on the seller’s official website, there is an Elementor section suggesting that the theme is compatible with Elementor. https://gloriathemes.com/docs/cloux/
Besides, there is almost no information on ThemeForest or vendor Gloria’s site regarding the theme. It is really difficult for the buyer to know what this theme includes.
It seems that the theme is ultimately not compatible with Elementor. So I can’t use it on my website.
If you have already downloaded the theme, refund is not possible.
In addition to that, most of the themes at the marketplace are not compatible with the latest version of the Elementor (.13 version ) as it comes with a warning. I suggest you to download a previous version of the plugin and try again.
It does not say in the refund policy that this is no longer possible once the theme has been downloaded. On the contrary, it is said that we can detect problems with the themes, and it is precisely after having downloaded it that we realize it.
Moreover, it is not that it is not compatible with the latest version of Elementor, it is not compatible with Elementor at all.
the fact the theme is not built using/compatible with Elementor, when it does not advertise to be, is not a problem or bug with the item. All themes declare the page builders and plugins used, and there’s plenty of opportunity to ask the author pre-purchase.
For reference, to help with future purchases - even if a theme is Elementor compatible, does not mean that you will be able to edit the demo layouts unless they were actually built using Elementor. Envato have dedicated Element or kits and you can search other themes that also use the plugin. Elementor Template Kits, Plugins, Add Ons & Themes | ThemeForest
This sounds like it would fall under a mistaken purchase. It is not to say that envato/the author would categorically not refund it, but it’s not guaranteed.
If you are logged in then the open refunds are listed in your profile on themeforest. You will have to wait and see the decision (this can take several days because it first goes to the author and if that does not resolve it then Envato have to investigate etc.).
If you have not downloaded a purchased item within 3 months from the date of purchase, you may be eligible for a refund. You will be required to provide the author of that item your purchase code in order for the author to verify your claim that you have not downloaded an item. Although we think 3 months is a reasonable time, depending on where you are located, you might have a longer period to claim a refund if you have purchased for personal use and haven’t downloaded the item.
The theme doesn’t support Elementor btw and the information is available on public
Alright, thanks for that clarification. I opened two tickets because I had no information telling me that the first had been registered, neither by email nor on my profile. But I understand, I’ll wait.
It’s normal. Envato will ask the author to provide some details, etc and if the author is not available at the moment, they will give 5-7 working days to get a respond from the author, if not, the case will be closed and you will be refunded.
