Hello,

I haven’t heard anything from author nor envato via the ticket I submitted… but I just wanted to ask here the same question…see if maybe I can get an answer…

So I was previewing two themes from one author on themeforest, I had a lapse of thought and mistakenly purchased the incorrect theme. Since both themes are from the same author (and the same price as well), is it possible to just get the intended theme made available to me and get the one I mistakenly purchased removed? Perhaps to avoid the refund process?

If both theme is available in your envato account Download page then I think it will be better and if you don’t need one of the themes then in future you can use that one for your future project. Also you will be able to download any update version in future from your envato account Download page.

If you are talking about refund then you have to go with envato market refund process based on refund policy.

Well I intended to only spend $60 on one theme, I don’t want to spend $120 and literally have no use for the one I mistakenly purchased.

Addition: Not only that… but it’s not like I’m asking if Envato can remove the mistakenly theme from one author… and add one from a separate author… Both themes are by the same author… the author wouldn’t lose any money in the process…

If you are eligable to get a refund then you can request for refund. Can I Get A Refund is an explantion of the refund policy, requirements, process and a button linking to the refund request form.

I already read this. I’m not asking for a refund. The author can keep the money… I just want access to the theme I intended to purchase and remove the theme I accidentally purchased.

If your intended to purchase theme and accidentally purchased theme from the same author then there is a possibility and for doing this you have to contact theme author and request them. If they agree then you can purchase the intended to purchase theme and send a refund request for accidentally purchased theme.

But if author is different then it is not possible because transaction between 2 different authors.

Okay, thanks for that answer. I have submitted a ticket with the author on envato and on their own forum. So we’ll see how this goes…
