Purchase theme extended support

After migration of a website to a new developer (me), I would like to purchase extended support for the theme.
Since the original theme license is not in my envato/themeforest account - do I need to purchase FIRST a theme license to purchase the extended support?

yes, you have to purchase the theme first. If you purchase the theme you will get first 6 months support included with the purchase. Also you can extended support for the next 6 months mean total 12 months.
