For Only a week.
Friends , how you came up with the idea that we don’t need that $3 from each sale?
What is next?

I never saw any discount items before, (there was also a thread about giving discounts to attract customers, which was pretty neutral i guess)…

Maybe they are giving the $3 from their end? idk, but i’d like to know more :slight_smile:

No Envato are not reducing their commission with this promotion - they will keep their standard percentage and so will you, meaning that because Envato want to have a sale with your work you and they will both earn less.

Not your choice unfortunately, as already stated in other threads they have full right to alter product prices at anytime - they could sell it for $3 (or $30) and there is nothing you can do.

What are we doing here is, (Be a WordPress Theme, or a Landing Page Template) , “Those items are really, really so easy to produce, so we’re really ok with any profit we can make from them”. Why am I writing all of this , We all are just an employee of McDonalds.

i mean i know that they give the prices but did they inform the authors about this “discount week”?

authors could’ve been prepared and promote to get more sales this week so that it doesn’t hamper the average earnings :confused:

Basically, Envato decided that we don’t have as much support as other categories… I have no reply to this, I did, but I decided to move in more positive directions :slight_smile:

If this is the most original Promotion / Support idea we can come up with, then why don’t we make all marketplace items for FREE , for just one week? I think it would really spread the word that how easy(!) it is to produce Digital Work, all around the planet.

Yes , Ruben, we all know it don’t we.
I don’t know when, but this (envato’s, all about this “suddenly” so called tests) behavior will bring the end of this Marketplace, soon or later. Trust is the base of any strong business.
