Previous After Effects versions Missing Effects

Hey guys, I am sure many of us back save to previous version in After Effects to broaden the customer base. I typically try to back save to CS6. Sometimes CS5. But lately, when I back save, I am running into a Missing Effects error. I have a Noise effect on some layers in CC2019, but by the time I back save to 2017, the error appears. Adobe just says “sorry, that is what happens when we upgrade plugins, etc.” But I see the Noise Plugin in my 2017 Plugins folder…

Has anyone else experienced this? Seems like bad news for us Template makers…

It’s a bug. Simple answer: Do not use AE CC 2019 if you are going to save project to previous version.
Also I reported this issue several month ago. You may vote, but looks like Adobe don’t much care about fixing their software. One word - Monopoly.

Yea, I chatted with support. They didn’t really care. I tried to replace my plugins while in 18 and it still gave me the error. Oh well. super annoying.
