I used your example in my example that’s all. It’s not so complicated.
Furthermore I think you have a very negative and conspiracy-laden outlook on the business. Which is fine but that’s not my worldview.

I will start by saying, it is a good track with commercial viability. Perhaps the melodic aspects might be too distracting, but it would also work well if you have an underscore too. But it is fine!
I will also say I’ve had 2 out of 2 submissions rejected. I have my music placed on BBC, Sky, prime time television etc, all over the world by publishers of production music libraries. I wanted to try stock sites during the pandemic while the publishers are out of office and not taking in new tracks at the moment. That is why I turned to AJ. I am also doing a PhD in music and have won composition awards, albeit in other areas other than library music. I see nothing wrong with your track to make me think it should be rejected. AJ are perhaps looking for a very specific brand/type of music (corporate motivational) that strikes a balance between being boring enough to avoid distracting viewers of video content, where the music is potentially being used, and being creative enough to sound a bit different to the other hundreds of similar tracks there.
I think your track would have been a good addition to the tracks available on AJ and I wish more tracks like this would be accepted.
he used the Lick so I would have instantly accepted it if I were reviewing
Thank you for your thoightful respons. It’s great to hear the perspective of someone who works with production music libraries as well. That is a branch of the music licensing industry I want to get into as well. Yeah, it can be a bit hard to figure out what exactly it is that AJ does and doesn’t want in terms of originality of the music, besides the 1 million similar sounding corporate tracks.
Good luck with your music on AJ!
That was exactly my thought as well!
This is my recent rejection. Trying to reach the 70% approved tracks threshold. Now I’m at 50% stage.
What??? This track was rejected??? In a case such like this, I would appreciate a detailed rejection reason.
@SD_sound @Daydreamz-Studios . Indeed.Good track. The only thing that may be the issue is the brass swell interval at 0:28. Sounds a bit dissonant in the context. The EMaj -9. And again there are some subtle dissonances at 1:20. Maybe is the guitar riff or the piano but together they are forming some odd harmonic construction. But, again. Only the reviewer knows exactly the rejection reason.
Thank you all friends! Yes this moment with flute/brass swell seems to me controversial, but at the time of writing the composition it seemed interesting )) This my problem! to complicate simple things, overload composition. Well maybe someday I will optimize this track, without experiments and try again
this sounds like a really solid track. The only suggestion I would have is if you’re going to use such punchy electro/synth style drums then the bass should be more powerful to match it. Otherwise I would use more acoustic sounding drums to match all the other acoustic instruments.
Right now it’s like a super organic funky groove but the kick and snare sounds like it belongs in an EDM track. That said I would have easily accepted this if I were reviewing
Thank you for your advice! Yeah i think some stilistic divergence in this track. Need more suitable drums for traditional funk
HI, here is my new rejection track. let me know what you think!
thank you!
