More rejections, Don't know what to do?

It’s my 5 or 6 hard rejection in a row,can you help me identify the issues with those two songs please? I’m starting to feel that audiojungle have something against me,better songs i make and more work I put in this they are faster to reject.Help please.

Hey :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:t3:

hmmm…I think that your tracks are great!
I think you just should keep going do what you do

Try to listen top tracks here on AJ, especially in your favorite styles. Try to achieve that quality and sound.
I wish you will get it!

Cheers :call_me_hand:t3:

I’m at a loss now,do you think they are great or do you think they are inferior in quality to others?
(Its me from my non exclusive account)

Just wanted to chime in and let you know you’re not alone.

I spent a lot of time getting my chops up, got 6 approvals in a row, all rock/guitar based similar to your stuff, all 6 items have made sales (some a decent amount).

Then it was like someone flicked a switch… I’ve submitted a bunch more of what I feel is as good or better then my previous work and I’ve been hard rejected every time.

AJ just hardly seems worth the effort for me.

But enough about me, these are nice tracks, totally usable. My only critique is maybe a little thin on the low frequencies for the first one? The Jazzy piece has CCR written all over it, sounds great to me!

Beginning of the 1st track is very close to one of Bob Marley’s hits. Really like 2nd track though. Nice vibe!

Thanks for your responses,I’m glad they are all positive. What can I do to make them accepted,it is waste of time to complete songs and just give up on them. Reviewers should tell the reasons for rejections. I understand that some songs are ,well obviously low quality, but both of those were held for further review, which means they were not sure whether to reject or not, they discussed them, they listened carefully, than why not tell us what to improve change…Generic message that they send to everyone is just disrespectful. and after years and hundreds of accepted and sold songs they should be at least be a little more colaborative

@ChocoMoco I also, for whatever it’s worth, wanted to put in my two cents

I, much like @orbiterred, put in a lot of time and effort (and money) into getting my mixing/mastering chops up. I’m a guitarist by trade and have been writing/composing/performing songs professionally since…ever. However, starting to produce music for AJ exclusively has been quite a learning process to say the least.

Three things helped me the most.

  1. Listening to the structure, quality, and tendencies of other notable AJ authors.
  2. Investing time into honing the craft of arranging, recording, and mixing.
  3. Finding someone to bounce my ideas/final mixes off BEFORE I upload to AJ.

Despite my recent success with approvals, I still do all of those three steps before every AJ upload. Because I’m still starting out I feel as though nothing is guaranteed. Just remember to keep with it because I think you’re on the right track. Just reaching out for help means that you genuinely care and are willing to make a positive change.

The last note I’ll make is that you need to understand the role of the reviewer. It’s not the job of the reviewer to give a detailed critique for every song they encounter - that would take way too long and it’s not part of their role. Secondly, they need to maintain a certain standard for the site, which comes from a great number of factors which are out of their hands. I hope this helps. Best of luck!

I know what reviewer’s job is, I have been here 4+ years,I have had 100+ items approved.

The quality of the tracks is quite decent. Maybe it’s not a format. If you refused several times, you should try to put the tracks on other drains. Good luck!

hm… this tracks sounds cool, I don’t think there are mixing/mastering problems. Maybe commercial format… try to analyse most popular rock tracks on AJ on the subject of musical form and melody. I think you have great commercial sound, so keep doing it!!!

Anything rejected here… pop it on another royalty free site instead. Always worth having a few irons in the fire, as they say!

Hi ChocMoco,
your tracks sounds good, and suitable for AJ market imho.
I was on the same boat as I got hard rejected tracks recently. For me, it sounds like they need to control the amount of audio assets already online, and sometimes gets a total nonsense of refused items like yours. It seems like they want to slow down the growing ratio of the platform and/or keeping only elite authors that sell. They don’t realize that there are a bunch of crappy stuff posted some time/years ago that maybe should be erased from the platform in order to keep place to new items/authors with better overall quality. Only my opinion.
Try to find alternative stock music sites.
Sorry to cannot be more helpful.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks all. I followed their advice to upload here and ask fellow authors how to improve items. seems there isn’t much to improve. I’ll re-upload and direct them to this thread.

Great tracks, maybe it’s the Bob Marley thing in the first track. I like your second track. I’m new to AJ and waiting for my first approval.
