I’ve been working to remove websites distributing nulled versions of my exclusive items and have already managed to take down several pages after contacting their hosting providers. But I can’t do this alone—I need your help to take down even more.
Together, we can make a bigger impact. All it takes is an email to the hosting providers of these sites to report their illegal activities. If we, as authors, can report multiple abuses, we can potentially take down entire website distributing nulled versions. Let’s work together! If you come across a website selling pirated copies of any of your items, post it here, and together we can send an email to the respective hosting provider (you can find the hosting details in the domain’s WHOIS).
If you’re unable to find the provider, post the link here, and I’ll share the abuse team’s email or link with you.
You’re not allowed to ( anyone ) post the Wa-rez link on the public forum at Envato.
I understand your intentions are good but the execution is not.
On top, most of them are within private groups, facebook, telegram pages. It may not help anything as the next day, they could put it on another hosting.
I created this topic with the goal of taking down the entire website that’s selling pirated copies. So, if we share a link and manage to get it removed, would that still be an issue? Multiple abuse reports will eventually lead to the website being taken down. I think, just like websites, there are options to report activities on Facebook groups and Telegram as well.
If sharing links in the forum is prohibited, I will create a dedicated website with a form for submitting links. The submitted links will only be accessible to Envato authors using a secure access code.
They might be able to transfer to another hosting provider, but what if their domain gets banned by the registrar, or if Google Ads and other ad networks stop providing ads for revenue? What if their payment methods are suspended for selling illegal items?
This is not a new issues, it’s an issue since the beginning of the marketplace and so far there’s no solution, your suggestion won’t be solving the problem but it’d provide temporary solution.
They have contacts/emails. Once when the group is down, the new one pops-up. If you wanna still fight for it, go ahead but I don’t think you will have “support” from the forum, maybe by few but that’s all.
You won’t be able to share your website link, too. According to the forum rules, you cannot ask people to join another community etc.
Envato Elements helps these sites steal items easily and sell them on their site or for free downloads!
Null site owners just pay $16 and have access to all items! So they copy all items on their site.
This is another negative point of Envato Elements!
Yes, I’m aware of API requests, and I’ve successfully taken down several websites using nulled versions by contacting their hosting providers. However, this thread isn’t about my script. I’m referring to collaborating to help each other take down nulled copies of themes, scripts, or websites that showcase or sell them. If there are multiple abuse reports against a website, we can take them down more easily.
If there was a feasible and effective answer then it would have been implemented by now and the giants like Adobe and Microsoft who’s software is out there across warez sites would have put a stop to it
